Associate Professor

• Educational Qualifications:
  • A Master's degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) in a concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
• Additional Qualifications for NET/SLET/SET Exemption:
  • Candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET.
  • Alternatively, candidates who are awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016, and their amendments from time to time are exempted from NET/SLET/SET.
• Conditions for Ph.D. Candidates Registered Prior to July 11, 2009:
  • Ph.D. candidates registered before July 11, 2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances/Bye-laws/Regulations of the Institution awarding the degree.
  • Such Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions subject to fulfilling certain conditions:
    • The Ph.D. degree of the candidate must have been awarded in a regular mode.
    • The Ph.D. thesis must have been evaluated by at least two external examiners.
    • An open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate must have been conducted.
    • The candidate must have published two research papers from their Ph.D. work, out of which at least one is in a refereed journal.
    • The candidate must have presented at least two papers based on their Ph.D. work in conferences/seminars sponsored/funded/supported by the UGC/ICSSR/CSIR or any similar agency.

Criteria for Ph.D. Degree Obtained from Foreign University/Institution:

• The Ph.D. degree must have been obtained from a foreign university/institution.
• The university/institution must have a ranking among the top 500 in the World University Ranking by any one of the following:
  • Quacquarelli Symonds (QS)
  • The Times Higher Education (THE)
  • The Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Shanghai).

Assistant Professor :

• Educational Qualifications:
  • A good academic record with a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines.
  • A Master's Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) in a point-scale system, where applicable.
• Experience and Research Criteria:
  • Minimum of eight years of experience in teaching and/or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College, or Accredited Research Institution/industry.
  • Must have a minimum of seven publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.

Terms and Conditions for RRBMU Recruitment 2024

• Qualifications, Pay Scales, and other conditions for the advertised teaching positions will be in accordance with UGC Regulations 2018 as adopted by the State Government of Rajasthan through a letter dated 19-08-2020, along with applicable University regulations, subject to changes.
• The pension scheme will be applicable as per the norms and conditions of Raj Rishi Bhartrihari Matsya University, Alwar
• Call letters and other communication regarding Examination/Interview will be sent only to eligible candidates via Email/Post.
• The schedule will also be displayed on the University's official website, and candidates are advised to check it regularly.
• Reservation Policy for SC, ST, BC, MBC, EWS, and Persons with Disabilities will follow the norms of the Government of Rajasthan, as amended from time to time.
• Candidates applying for reserved posts must clearly mention their category and enclose a Certificate issued by the competent authority.
• Benefit under the category of Persons with Disabilities (PWD) will be applicable only if the disability is not less than 40%, and candidates must provide a valid certificate to avail this benefit.
• According to the Reservation Policy of the Government of Rajasthan, applicants who are not domiciled in Rajasthan state but belong to a reserved category will be considered in the unreserved category.
• The eligibility of candidates will be assessed based on the qualifications they hold on the last date specified for the submission of the application form.
• Candidates are advised to ensure their eligibility according to UGC norms.
• No inquiries regarding eligibility will be entertained.
• Candidates currently employed are required to attach a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer along with the application form within the specified date.
• As per Government of Rajasthan rules, no candidate shall be eligible for appointment if they have more than two children on or after 01.06.2002.
• Candidates appointed through direct recruitment in the University shall be on probation as per State Government rules.
• During the probation period, a Probationer-trainee shall receive fixed remuneration.
• Upon successful completion of probation, they will be placed in the pay level according to the revised pay structure as per government regulations.
• Existing employees already in regular service of the State Government/PSUs/Autonomous bodies/Government Universities, if appointed as Probationer-trainees and opted to draw pay of the previous post during probation, their pay will be fixed according to Rule 26 of the Rajasthan Service Rules.
• A Last Pay Certificate (LPC) must be attached with the application form in such cases.
• If a person does not satisfactorily complete the probation period, the appointing authority may terminate their services in the University without notice and without assigning any reason.
• The University reserves the right to verify the documents submitted by the candidate at any time, either during the appointment process or during their service.
• If any submitted document is found to be fake or if the candidate has concealed any information, their services will be terminated immediately.
• Incomplete applications or subsequent submission of hard copies without relevant supporting enclosures (self-attested copies of degree/certificates/marks sheets/experience certificates, etc.) will be outrightly rejected.
• In the event of any inadvertent mistake in the selection process, even after the issuance of appointment orders, the University reserves the right to modify/withdraw/cancel any communication made to the candidates.
• The University reserves the right to withdraw any advertised post(s) at any point in time without assigning any reason

Selection Procedure for RRBMU Recruitment 2024

• The selection for the teaching posts will be based on the performance of the candidate in the interview only and will be of 100 marks.
• The number of candidates called for an interview shall be short listed by the University.
• The selection process will adhere to the Rules and Regulations of Raj Rishi Bhartrihari Matsya University, Alwar.
