Periyar University has announced a recruitment notification for the position of Guest Faculty in the Department of Environmental Science. The role requires candidates to have a Ph.D. in Chemistry, with qualifications in line with UGC standards for Guest Faculty. Applicants with NET/SET or Ph.D. in Chemistry are eligible to attend the walk-in interview scheduled for September 18, 2024. The position offers a consolidated monthly salary of Rs. 25,000, with no additional benefits such as allowances or pension.

Candidates interested in applying must attend the interview in person and bring a completed application form along with self-attested photocopies of all relevant documents, including proof of Date of Birth, Community, educational qualifications, and experience. Original documents must also be presented at the time of the interview. Incomplete applications or failure to provide original documents will result in disqualification.

The interview will be held at the Department of Environmental Science, Periyar University, Salem. Candidates are advised to arrive at least one hour before the scheduled time for verification purposes. No travel or dearness allowances will be provided, and requests for changes to the interview schedule will not be accommodated.

Pay Scale for Periyar University Recruitment 2024

• Selected candidates shall be paid a consolidated pay of Rs.25,000/- [Rupees Twenty-Five thousand only] per month.
• The Guest faculty will not be given the benefit of allowances, pensions, gratuity and leave etc., as admissible to the regular teachers.

Walk-in Details for Periyar University Recruitment 2024

• Application not in the prescribed format or incomplete in any form will be rejected.
• The application must be submitted along with One set of self-attested photocopies of all supportive documents/certificates for Date of Birth, Community, all Educational Qualifications, Experience etc. without fail.
• No TA/DA etc. will be paid to candidates for attending the Interview.
• Canvassing in any form or bringing of any influence will be treated as disqualification on the part of the candidate.
• The venue for the Interview is Department of Environmental Science, Periyar University, Salem - 636 011.
• Besides the above, candidates must bring all their supportive documents/certificates in ORIGINAL for Date of Birth, Community, all Educational Qualifications, Experience etc.at the time of Interview.
• Any documents/ certificates without ORIGINAL will not be considered.
• Candidates are strictly asked to be present at the above venue, at least one hour before the stipulated time of Morning Session on the respective date for certificate verification etc.
• Any request for change/relaxation of date/time for the interview, will not be entertained.
