Recruitment to the posts of Post Graduate Teachers in Group-B, for 50 nos. of Government Higher Secondary Schools and 106 nos. of Upgraded Higher Secondary Schools of the State under the Department of School & Mass Education.
Position and Vacancies for OPSC Recruitment 2024
- Name of the Post: Post Graduate Teacher
- No of Post: 1,375
Qualification for OPSC Recruitment 2024
- Have Master's Degree in subject concerned from a recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate and have possessed two years Post Graduate Master's Course or
- integrated six years Post Graduate Master's Course from Regional College of Education recognized by the NCERT in the concerned subject with minimum 50% marks in aggregate;
- Have B.Ed. or equivalent degree recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education, New Delhi as equivalent with B.Ed. from a recognized University.
- Provided that B.Ed. qualification shall not be the mandatory eligibility criteria for the post of PGT in the subjects where B.Ed. course is not offered.
- Degree or Diploma in Computer Application is desirable qualification subject to production of the certificate in support of above qualification obtained from a recognized University or College or Institution having affiliation to a recognized University.
Age Limit for OPSC Recruitment 2024
A candidate must not be below the age of 21 (twenty one) years and above 38 (thirty eight) years [for Fresh Candidates] as on the 1st day of January 2023 i.e. he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd January, 1985 and not later than 1st January, 2002.
Examination Fee for OPSC Recruitment 2024
No examination fee is required to be paid for applying or appearing in the recruitment as per "Odisha Discontinuance of payment of application and examination fees for recruitment to different Posts and Services in the state Government Rules, 2022."
Selection Process for OPSC Recruitment 2024
The competitive examination for recruitment to the posts of Post Graduate Teachers will be conducted in the following successive stages -
i) Written examination (MCQ pattern)
ii) Personality Test and Interview (Viva Voce test)

- The link for registration and submission of online application shall be available from 31.01.2024 to 02.03.2024 (Note: 02.03.2024 is the last date for submission of Registered Online Application)
- Candidates must go through the details of this Advertisement available in the Website of OPSC before filling up online application form.
- Candidates must apply online through the concerned Website of the OPSC http://opsc.gov.in.
- Applications received through any other mode would not be accepted and summarily rejected.
