The National Institute of Technology Jalandhar (NIT Jalandhar) has released a recruitment notification for the position of Deputy Registrar, with one vacancy available. The pay level for this position is Rs. 78,800, with an age limit of 56 years. The last date for submission of online applications is April 6, 2024.

Qualification for NIT Jalandhar Recruitment 2024

• Master's degree in any discipline with at least 55% marks or its equivalent Grade in the CGPA / UGC point scale with a good academic record from a recognized University/Institute.
• 9 years experience of Assistant Professor in the AGP of Rs.6000/- and above with 3 years of experience in educational administration, or
• Comparable experience in research establishment and/ or other institutions of higher education, or
• 5 years of administrative experience as Assistant Registrar in the Grade Pay of Rs.5400/- or equivalent post.
• Qualification in the area of Management / Engineering /Law.
• Experience of working in the E-Office system.
• A Chartered or Cost Accountant degree or diploma for the post of Deputy Registrar (Finance & Accounts) or Deputy Registrar (Internal Audit).

Pay Scale for NIT Jalandhar Recruitment 2024

• Rs. 15600-39100/-) with Grade Pay of Rs.7600/. After five years of service as Deputy Registrar with Grade Pay of Rs.7600/- an incumbent will be assessed by Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) for moving to the higher grade in PB-4 (Rs. 37400 - 67000/-) with Grade Pay of Rs.8700/- and re-designated as Joint Registrar (personal to the incumbent).

• All Qualifications, Experiences and Age Limit will be considered as on or before 06.04.2024 (Closing date of online application form).
• The maximum age limit is 56 years.
• Date of birth mentioned in the Online Recruitment Application is final. No subsequent request for change of date of birth will be considered or granted.
• All degrees mentioned in the application should be awarded by an Institute/ University recognized by the Government/other Statutory Bodies.
• As an Institute of National Importance, NIT Jalandhar strives to have a workforce which reflects an all-India character and hence candidates from all over the country are encouraged to apply for Gender equality.
• Persons serving in Govt./ Semi Govt. / PSUs / Universities / Educational Institutions should send their applications either through proper channels or should furnish a No Objection Certificate from the Competent Authority of the organisation serving at the time of document verification.
• They can, however, send an advance copy of the application form.
• Candidates who will get shortlisted for the selection process will have to produce original documents in support of all the particulars mentioned in their application form regarding their educational qualification, experience, and other claims etc.
• Original documents along with one set of self-attested copies will have to be produced at the time of selection process for verification.
• Applications received on or before the published closing date will only be considered for scrutiny and selection
• Mere fulfilment of minimum qualification and experience requirements does not entitle any candidate for a call for selection process.
• The Institute reserves the right to call all the eligible candidates or short listed candidates for selection process after screening by the Institute.
• The Institute may decide to conduct a selection process comprising multiple stages of selection depending upon the applications received.
• Details of the selection process will also be published along with the list of shortlisted candidates.
• No communication in this regard may be made through hard copy.
• No request for change of date/ venue of the selection process by individual applicants will be entertained under any circumstances.
• The Names of the shortlisted candidates will be displayed in the Institute website. Beside, all information regarding the selection process will also be provided through the Institute website only.
• The Institute will not be responsible in any manner, if a candidate fails to visit / access the website in time. Candidates are requested to regularly visit the Institute website i.e., www.nitj.ac.in for updated information.
• Applicants must carry at least one photograph bearing Identity Proof, in original, such as Driving Licence, Voter ID Card, Aadhar Card and Passport to the selection process, failing which they shall not be allowed to appear for the selection process.
• Pay fixation and other terms and conditions shall be as per GoI, DoPT instructions circulated vide No.6/8/2009-Estt (Pay II) Dated 17.06.2010 and subsequent guidelines in this regard.

Selection Procedure for NIT Jalandhar Recruitment 2024

• The short listed candidates may be required to appear for presentation, in addition to facing the Selection Committee.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the test/interview.
• A short listing criterion may be set higher than the minimum advertised by the selection committee.
