NIPER SAS Nagar has released a recruitment notification for 32 vacancies for the positions of Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor. The salary ranges from Rs. 1,01,500 to Rs. 2,20,200 depending on the position.

Professor

• Ph.D. with first class or equivalent grade at the preceding degree in appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout and at least 10 years of teaching/research/industrial experience with published work of high quality well recognized and established reputation of having made conspicuous seminal contribution to knowledge in pharmaceutical and allied areas.
• Pharmacoinformatics Cheminformatics/ Bioinformatics/ pharmacoinformatics/ computational biology including the applications of Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning, data analytics, proficiency in computer programming /database development in the field of biology, chemistry, pharmaceutics, pharmacology etc. and/or expertise in Computer Aided Drug Design (CADD)/ Molecular modelling, Pharmacophore mapping, Molecular dynamic simulations with demonstrated skills in using CADD/Molecular modelling software in the applied areas of chemical, biological and pharmaceutical sciences.
• Pharmaceutics Pharmacokinetics/ biopharmaceutics/ drug delivery systems/ formulation developments of biologicals and biosimilars/ solid state Pharmaceutics/ preformulation studies/ computational Pharmaceutics/ biomaterials.
• Biotechnology Experience in establishing facilities for development and screening of antiviral or antibacterial agents/drug discovery and experience in handling and maintenance of viral or bacterial cultures/ cell-based screening, other relevant assays/animal models.

Associate Professor

• Ph.D. with first class or equivalent grade at the preceding degree in appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout and at least 8 years of teaching/research/industrial experience with published work of high quality and an established reputation of having made seminal contribution to knowledge in pharmaceutical and allied areas.
• Medicinal Chemistry In-depth medicinal chemistry experience/organic synthesis/ expertise in any of the following therapeutic areas of drug discovery-Antibacterial/ Antiviral/ Antiparasitic/ Cardiovascular/ CNS/ Antidiabetic including diabetic complication and obesity/ designing, implementing and executing synthetic and medicinal chemistry strategies/ developing new technologies to accelerate drug discovery/ Peptide-based medicinal chemistry/ carbohydrate chemistry/Medicinal Chemistry with experience in computer-aided drug discovery/Chemo-biosynthetic and chemoenzymatic approaches to the discovery of biologically active molecules.
• Pharmaceutical Analysis Instrumental Analysis - sophisticated hyphenated techniques (LC-MS, ICP-MS, GCMS, NMR, etc./stability testing and impurity profiling)/ bioanalytical & pharmacopeial analysis (method development and validation and PK/PD studies)/Quality Control & Quality Assurance - GLP, and a regulatory quality guidelines/Metabolite Profiling (In-vitro/invivo approaches for metabolite profiling)/ Experience in establishing accredited labs and a strong background in regulatory guidelines.
• Clinical Research Clinical Research/ Clinical Pharmacology/ Clinical Pharmacy/Pharmaceutical Medicine /Industry experience in clinical drug development/ capability of conducting/ managing/designing and analysis of Clinical trials/ Bioequivalence Studies/ Pharmacovigilance studies /Phase I, II, III human trials/ Clinical Data Management studies.

Assistant Professor

• Ph.D. with first class or equivalent grade at the preceding degree in appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout and at least 5 years of teaching/ research/industrial experience with published work of high quality.
• Pharmacology and Toxicology Virology/ Bacteriology/ Pharmacology/ Biosafety level 3 (BSL3)/ Biosafety Level 2 (BSL2)/ animal models for screening of antiviral or anti-bacterials.
• Medical Devices Medical devices/ biomedical devices/ medical imaging/ medical instrumentation/ biomaterials/ implants/ biosensors and sensing devices/implantable active drug delivery systems for various fields of medicine and dentistry-orthopaedics, cardiovascular, ophthalmic, neurological, ocular, etc/in-vitro diagnostic platforms/ microfluidics/ bioengineering/ Instrumentations/ Electrical Engineering/ Electronics/ Mechanical Engineering/ Biochemical Engineering/ and allied areas.
• Pharmaceutics Pharmacokinetics/ biopharmaceutics /drug delivery systems/ formulation developments of biologicals and biosimilars/solid state Pharmaceutics /pre-formulation studies/ computational Pharmaceutics/ biomaterials.

Qualification and experience required for the post should be in the relevant specialization for which the posts have been advertised.

Membership of professional societies/procurement of journals :

• Every faculty member shall get 50% subsidy on the cost of membership or of the journals up to a maximum of Rs. 5,000/- per year.

Book Allowance:

• Every faculty member shall get a book allowance up to maximum of Rs. 5,000/- per year. The books shall ultimately form a part of the Institute’s Library accession.

Contract research & consultancy:

• The Institute encourages the faculty members to undertake consultancy work or work on sponsored projects.

• The maximum age limit and eligibility conditions shall be counted as on the closing date for receipt of applications i.e. 06.05.2024 (Monday).
• Age relaxation / reservation policy wherever applicable will be as per Government of India guidelines.

Selection Procedure for NIPER SAS Nagar Recruitment 2024
