Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has announced vacancies for Research Associate and Research Assistant positions, with 02 posts available. For the Research Associate role, candidates need a Postgraduate degree in any Social Science discipline with a minimum of 55% marks, along with NET/M.Phil/PhD.
Research Assistant applicants should hold a Ph.D./M.Phil./Post graduate degree in a social science discipline with at least 55% marks. Desirable qualifications include knowledge in Cultural and Spiritual domains and awareness of Indian Knowledge systems.
The selection process involves interviews for shortlisted candidates, and no TA/DA will be provided. Applications, including a CV and supporting documents, must be submitted electronically to [email protected] and [email protected] by April 25, 2024. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Qualification for JNU Recruitment 2024
Research Associate :
- Post Graduate in any Social Science discipline (55%minimum) with NET/M.Phil/PhD
- Candidate with adequate knowledge in Cultural and Spiritual domain, experience of Indian Knowledge system and working with social network analysis technique, fieldwork experience and good writing skills and computer proficiency.
Research Assistant :
- Ph.D./M.Phil./ Post graduate in social science discipline with minimum 55%
- Desirable Qualifications: Candidate with adequate knowledge in Cultural and Spiritual domain, and adequate awareness about Indian Knowledge system with appropriate computer proficiency.
Selection Procedure for JNU Recruitment 2024
- Only shortlisted candidates will be communicated to appear in the interview and no other Communications in this regard will be entertained.
- TA/DA will not be paid for appearing in the interview.
