The Department of Physics, Faculty of Natural Sciences, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, invites applications for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position in a SERB funded project titled "Accelerated Universe and the Current Issues in Cosmology" under the supervision of Dr. Md. Wali Hossain. The position is temporary, lasting until 6th October 2024, with a monthly fellowship of 31,000/- plus HRA.

Candidates must hold an M.Sc. in Physics or relevant subjects with a minimum of 55% or equivalent CGPA and should be 28 years or younger by the application deadline, having qualified CSIR/UGC-NET, GATE, or similar national level exams.

Desirable qualifications include knowledge of computer programming and a basic understanding of the general theory of relativity and cosmology. Qualification for JMI Recruitment 2024

• Essential Qualifications: M.Sc. in Physics and other relevant subjects with minimum 55% or equivalent CGPA from recognised Universities/Institutes.
• The candidate should have qualified CSIR/UGC-NET, GATE or similar other national level exams in Physics or Physical Sciences and should be 28 years of age or less on the last date of application, with relaxation to SC/ST/ OBC candidates as per Government of India norms.
• Desirable Qualifications: Knowledge of computer programming and basic understanding of general theory of relativity (GTR) and cosmology.
