Qualifications Details for Indian Bank Recruitment 2024
- A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognized by the Govt. Of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
- The candidate must possess valid Mark-sheet / Degree Certificate that he/ she is a graduate on the day he / she registers and indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while registering online.
Age Limit for Indian Bank Recruitment 2024
- Local Bank Officers (Scale-I), the age limit is between 20 and 30 years. However, there are relaxations in the upper age limit for certain categories.
- Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates are eligible for a 5-year relaxation, making their maximum age limit 35 years.
- Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates have a 3-year relaxation, allowing a maximum age of 33 years.
- Persons with Benchmark Disabilities, as defined under “The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016,” are allowed a 10-year relaxation, setting their maximum age limit at 40 years.
- Ex-Servicemen, including Emergency Commissioned Officers (ECOs) and Short Service Commissioned Officers (SSCOs) with at least 5 years of military service, are given a 5-year relaxation, making their maximum age limit 35 years. Additionally, persons affected by the 1984 riots are also granted a 5-year age relaxation, allowing a maximum age of 35 years.
Pay Scale for Indian Bank Recruitment 2024
- The pay scale for Scale-I is structured as follows: an initial salary of ₹48,480, with annual increments of ₹2,000, resulting in a salary of ₹62,480 after the first increment, ₹67,160 after the second increment, and ₹85,920 after reaching the maximum of the scale.
- Additionally, employees are entitled to Dearness Allowance (DA), City Compensatory Allowance (CCA), House Rent Allowance (HRA) or leased accommodation, Leave Fare Concession, Medical Aid, hospitalization benefits, retirement benefits, and other perquisites as per the bank's rules and industry-level settlements that are applicable from time to time.
Application Fee for Indian Bank Recruitment 2024
- Rs. 175/- (inclusive of GST) for SC/ST/PWBD candidates (Only intimation charges).
- Rs. 1000 /- (inclusive of GST) for all others.
Selection Process for Indian Bank Recruitment 2024
- The selection process for the bank position is based on either a written/online test followed by an interview or shortlisting of applications followed by an interview, depending on the number of applications received.
- If a test is conducted, it will include sections on Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, General/Economy/Banking Awareness, English Language, and Data Analysis & Interpretation, each with specific numbers of questions, marks, and allotted time.
- A penalty of 1/4th mark will be applied for each wrong answer, while unanswered questions will not incur any penalty.
- Candidates who qualify the test will be shortlisted for an interview, with the number of candidates called being three times the number of vacancies for unreserved categories and five times for reserved categories.
- The final selection will consider a minimum qualifying mark of 40% in both the test and interview for unreserved/EWS categories, and 35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWBD categories.
- The weightage for the test and interview will be 80:20 if a test is held, and 100% for the interview if only shortlisting is used. In case of a tie in scores, the merit will be decided based on the candidate's age.
- Selected candidates will be on probation for two years and will be required to sign a Financial cum Surety Bond to serve the bank for a minimum of two years, with a penalty for early resignation or discontinuation of service.
How to Apply for Indian Bank Recruitment 2024
- To apply, candidates must first ensure they have scanned their photograph, signature, and left thumb impression according to the specifications detailed in Annexure II of this advertisement.
- If a candidate does not have a left thumb, they should use their right thumb, or if both thumbs are unavailable, they may use a finger from their left hand, starting with the forefinger, or a finger from their right hand if the left hand has no fingers. In the absence of all fingers, a left toe impression may be used.
- The candidate must specify the finger or toe used in the uploaded document. Additionally, candidates need to provide a hand-written declaration as per the given text.
- Those who cannot write may have the declaration typed, and then place their left thumb impression below the typed text.
- This document must be uploaded according to the provided specifications. Applications are open from 13.08.2024 to 02.09.2024, and only online submissions will be accepted.
