Qualification for IIT Hyderabad Recruitment 2024
- Post Graduate with engineering background from a recognized university
- More than 6 years of relevant work experience and 4 years after post graduation in operating & maintaining the machines and lab.
- Knowledge and work experience of CAD & other engineering softwares is preferred.

- IIT Hyderabad Recruitment 2024 is offering a consolidated pay of Rs. 40,000 per month for the position of Senior Lab Technician.
- This temporary appointment is on a contract basis for a duration of 11 months. Applications are welcomed from Indian Nationals for this role.
Roles and Responsibilities for IIT Hyderabad Recruitment 2024
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the prototyping lab, including equipment maintenance, inventory management, and scheduling of lab activities.
- Ensure the proper functioning and calibration of prototyping lab equipment, including 3D printers (MJF, SLA and FDM technologies), Laser cutters, 5-axis Foam cutter, 3D scanners (blue and white light), CNC machines, and electronics prototyping tools.
- Perform routine maintenance and coordinate repairs as needed.
- Procurement, stocking and tracking the usage of raw materials and other consumables.
- Provide technical support and guidance to faculty, students, and external partners on design, fabrication, and prototyping projects and assist with project ideation, material selection, and troubleshooting.
- Develop and conduct training sessions, workshops, and demonstrations to educate users on prototyping lab equipment and techniques.
- Enforce safety protocols and guidelines to ensure the well-being of lab users and the proper handling of equipment and materials.
- Work towards the sustainability of the prototyping lab by engaging corporates, industries, students etc and generating revenues from usage of machines.
- Coordinate with the accounts team for customer billing and vendor payments.
