Applications are invited for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position at the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT Guwahati) in the project titled "Novel Pincer Catalytic Process for the Transformation of Ethanol to C4 Specialty Chemicals" at the Centre for Nanotechnology.
The JRF position offers a pay scale of Rs. 31,000 per month along with HRA and medical facilities. Candidates must hold a postgraduate degree in basic science or a graduate/postgraduate degree in a professional course selected through specified national-level examinations.

Qualification for IIT Guwahati Recruitment 2024
- Essential Qualification: Post Graduate degree in basic science or Graduate / Post GraduateDegree in Professional Course selected through a process described through any one of the following:
- Scholars selected through National Eligibility Test - CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship(Assistant Professorship) and GATE.
- The selection process through National Level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOs,DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IISc,IISCR etc Desirable Qualifications: M.Sc in Inorganic Chemistry Preferable.
- Expertise in synthesis of inorganic compounds, organometallics and catalysis
- The Basic Pay Scale for Post Graduate degree holders in basic science who have not cleared the above-mentioned competitive examination such as GATE will be given ₹15000 + HRA (16% of Basic) + Medical Facility.
Selection Procedure for IIT Guwahati Recruitent 2024
- Shortlisted candidates will be informed via E-mail
- No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates for appearing in the test and interview
- The candidates who are already employed under Central/State Govt./ PSU/ Autonomous Bodies/ Private Organization etc. will have to submit a No-objection Certificate (NOC) from the concerned employer in advance or at the time of interview failing which the candidate will not be allowed to appear for an interview.
