Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhubaneswar has announced recruitment for 05 vacancies for the post of Library Professional Trainee. Candidates must possess a First Class in Masters in Library and Information Science or its equivalent from a recognized Institute/University.
Preference will be given to candidates with relevant Computer Knowledge. The age limit varies with General candidates up to 26 years, SC, ST, & PD candidates up to 31 years, and OBC candidates up to 29 years. Selected trainees will work in various sections of the Central Library, including morning, evening, and late-night shifts, as well as weekends/holidays on a rotational basis.
The positions will be automatically terminated at the end of the tenure. Interested candidates meeting the requirements can apply online by 12th April 2024 and attend the walk-in interview on 16th April 2024 at the Central Library, IIT Bhubaneswar. Candidates must bring the completed application, passport photo, self-attested copies of certificates, and original certificates for verification. - Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess a First Class in Masters in Library and Information Science or its equivalent from a recognized Institute/University with a strong academic record.

Traineeship for IIT Bhubaneswar Recruitment 2024
- Selected trainees will get an opportunity to work in various sections of the Central Library as well as on emerging tools and technologies in the Library and Information field.
- They will be working in different shifts (as applicable) including morning, evening and late night shifts and also on weekends/ holidays on a rotation basis (six days a week).
- No accommodation facilities will be provided by IIT Bhubaneswar.
- The positions will be deemed to be automatically terminated at the end of the completion of their tenure.

- After completing the online application, the candidate should take a print out of the completed application and submit the same along with the passport photo and self‐ attested copies of certificates on the date of walk‐in.
- The candidates are required to come directly for the written & interview without waiting for a call letter.
- The written test will be in English.
- Candidates are requested to bring with them the certificates (original & one set of photocopy) in support of date of birth, qualification & category.
- Those candidates who don’t have minimum eligibility qualification and age will not be allowed to seat in a written test/interview.
