The Institute for Development and Research in Banking Technology (IDRBT) has released a recruitment notification for four vacancies, including Assistant Professors of Grade I and II on contract, as well as Visiting Assistant Professors.
Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in relevant fields with a strong academic background and specialized knowledge in Banking and Financial Technology areas. Assistant Professor Grade I requires three years of experience and a proven research record, while Grade II positions are offered on a contractual basis.

Position and Vacancy for IDRBT Recruitment 2024
- General category positions: 03
- OBC candidate position: 01
Qualification for IDRBT Recruitment 2024
- Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Information Security, Banking and Financial Technologies, or closely related fields, with a first-class or equivalent at the preceding degree, along with a consistently good academic record.
- Specialization: Candidates should have specialized knowledge in at least one and preferably be capable of contributing to two or more of the following areas:
- Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
- Cloud Computing, Edge Computing, Internet of Things
- Cyber Security
- Distributed Ledger Technology, Blockchain
- 5G and Beyond Networks
- Quantum Computing
- Any other area directly relevant to Banking and Financial Technology
- Interest: Candidates should demonstrate a keen interest in applying their expertise in the niche area of Banking and Financial Technology.
- Assistant Professor Grade - I:
- Requires a minimum of three years of research or professional experience in a reputable organization, excluding Ph.D. pursuit.
- Candidates must demonstrate research and academic proficiency through publications in esteemed journals and conferences.
- Assistant Professor Grade - II on Contract:
- Candidates lacking the requisite experience for Assistant Professor Grade - I may be offered a three-year contract as Assistant Professor Grade - II.
- They may subsequently transition to a tenure track for the regular position of Assistant Professor Grade - I based on performance.
- Visiting Assistant Professor:
- Individuals with potential for Assistant Professor Grade - II on Contract may be appointed as Visiting Assistant Professors for a three-year contractual term.
- Visiting Assistant Professors aspiring for the position of Assistant Professor Grade - II on Contract must undergo the same selection process as external candidates.

- Accommodation provided in the Institute’s Quarters at Begumpet.
For Contractual Positions:
- Compensation will be on an all-inclusive CTC basis.
- Suitable candidates will receive adequate compensation.
Roles and Responsibilities for IDRBT Recruitment 2024
- Candidates are expected to possess excellent research and academic records, effective communication skills, teamwork abilities, and a commitment to high-quality applied research, academics, and practice in the field of Banking and Financial Technology.
- The Institute reserves the right to relax the minimum requirements for outstanding candidates at its discretion.
- Applicants must ensure their eligibility for the applied position. Meeting eligibility criteria alone does not guarantee shortlisting for the Selection Process.
- Enclosures such as certificates should not be submitted with the application. Verification will be conducted later. Providing false or incorrect information may result in cancellation or termination of candidature/appointment, along with disciplinary action.
- All educational qualifications must be from recognized universities/institutions, with clear indication of numerical equivalent if grades are awarded instead of marks.
- Candidates who responded to the Institute's advertisements until November 2021 need not reapply.
- Employees of Government/Semi-Government Organizations/Educational Institutions/Banks/Financial Institutions must apply through the proper channel.
- Incomplete applications, those not in the prescribed format, or lacking a Detailed Work Plan will be rejected without correspondence.
- Selected candidates must adhere to all rules and regulations of the Institute.
- The Institute reserves the right to call only suitable candidates for consideration by the Selection Committee. It may also limit the number of candidates called for the selection process based on qualifications, experience, and Institute requirements.
- The Institute reserves the right to fill or not fill any or all advertised positions.
- The Institute's decisions regarding eligibility, experience, compensation, selection process, assessment, and communication of results are final and binding. No correspondence will be entertained in these matters.
- Candidates should refrain from inquiring about postal delays, conduct and results of the selection process, or reasons for not being called for an interview.
