Position, Vacancy for HSSC Recruitment 2024
- 4000 Posts of Male Constable (General Duty). (Non-ESM ESP: Gen=1440, SC=720, BCA=560, BCB=320, EWS=400, ESM-GEN=280, ESM-SC=80, ESM-BCA=80, ESM-BCB=120)
- 600 Posts of Female Constable (General Duty). (Non-ESM ESP: Gen=258, SC=108, BCA=84, BCB=48, EWS=18, ESM-GEN=42, ESM-SC=12, ESM-BCA=12, ESM-BCB=18)
- 1000 Posts of Male Constable (India Reserve Battalions). (Non-ESM ESP: Gen=360, SC=180, BCA=140, BCB=80, EWS=100, ESM-GEN=70, ESM-SC=20, ESM-BCA=20, ESM-BCB=30)
Qualification for HSSC Recruitment 2024
i) The candidate must have passed 10+2 from a recognized education Board/Institution.
ii) Matric with Hindi or Sanskrit as one of the subject.
iii) No extra weightage will be given to the candidate for higher education.
Pay Scale for HSSC Recruitment 2024
For the positions listed under Category No. 1 to 3, the pay scale is ₹21,700 in Level 3, Cell 1. This remuneration structure is applicable to the Constable position at the Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC), which has a total of 5,600 vacancies.
Age Limit for HSSC Recruitment 2024
18-25 years (On the first day of the month in which the applications are invited for recruitment of Constable i.e. on 01-09-2024).

Selection Procedure for HSSC Recruitment 2024
Qualifying Tests:
- Haryana Staff Selection Commission shall invite adequate number of candidates on the basis of merit obtained by them in Common Eligibility Test (CET), for Physical Measurement Test and then for Physical Screening Test both of which shall be of qualifying nature only.
- The Haryana Staff Selection Commission may do so in such number of batches, as it deems necessary, so as to shortlist qualified candidates equal to four times the number of advertised post of each category for Knowledge Test.
Physical Measurement Test (PMT):
- To make the entire process of the Physical Measurement Test tamper proof, fair and impartial, standard digital measurement devices shall be used to the extent possible, in a manner that the candidates are able to read their measurements on a digital display monitor
- The result of Physical Measurement Test shall be prepared by the Haryana Staff Selection Commission and shall be displayed on its official website.
- The candidates who fail to meet the Standards prescribed for Physical Measurement Test shall stand eliminated from further selection process.
- Only the candidates who qualify the standards prescribed for Physical Measurement Test shall take part in the further process of selection.
Physical Screening Test (PST):
- The responsibility of having the requisite medical fitness to undergo this test shall rest upon the candidate.
- The candidates who fail to meet the standards prescribed for Physical Screening Test shall stand eliminated from further selection process.
- The result of Physical Screening Test shall be prepared by the Haryana Staff Selection Commission and shall be displayed on its official website.
- Only the candidates who qualify the standards prescribed for Physical Screening Test shall be allowed to take part in the further process of selection.
Knowledge Test (94.5% weightage):
- All candidates shall have to undergo a knowledge test of ninety-four point five percent (94.5 %) weightage comprising of objective type, multiple choice questions. Each question will carry equal marks.
- The medium of examination shall be bilingual i.e. Hindi/English except where the knowledge of Hindi/English language of the candidates is to be tested.
- For being considered for selection against a post of general category, a candidate has to secure minimum 50% marks in the Knowledge Test.
- In case of consideration against a reserved category post (whether vertical or horizontal) the candidate shall receive a concession of 10% i.e. the minimum cut off for such candidates shall be 40%.
Additional Weightage (maximum 03 marks):
- NCC certificate: Candidates having NCC certificate of A, B or C level shall get 01, 02 and 03 marks respectively (for Constables).
