Goa PSC Recruitment 2024 Eligibility Details

• Inspector: Possessing Educational qualification and experience prescribed for direct recruits ie. Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering of a recognised University or equivalent with one year experience in Boiler Fabrication/Inspection in a workshop or a Factory of repute or Government Department. Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering of a recognised university or equivalent, with 3 years experience in Boiler Fabrication/Inspection in a Workshop or a Factory of repute or Government Department. (Deputationists shall not be eligible for consideration for appointment by promotion(Period of Deputation, including the period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organisation/department of the State Govt. shall not exceed 3 years
• Technical Examiner: Officers under the Central/State Govts. and Union Territories holding posts in the rank of: Executive Engineer or equivalent; or Assistant Executive Engineer or equivalent with 5 years service in the grade; or Assistant Engineer or equivalent with 8 years service in the grade; and possessing degree in Civil Engineering of a recognised University or equivalent and preferably experience in a research organisation(Period of deputation including period of deputation in another excadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same organisation/Department shall ordinarily not exceed 3 years)
• Chief Electrical Engineer: Officers of the Central Government/Central Public Sector Undertaking connected with power sector, or officers of the State Government/Union Territories/ State Electricity Boards/State Public Sector Undertakings connected with power distribution, possessing a Degree in Electrical Engineering and holding analogous post or with at least 5 years regular service in the grade of Superintending Engineer or equivalent (Period of deputation shall ordinarily not exceed 4 years).
• Second Expert: Official holding analogous post in the Finger Print bureau at any State/Centre. (Deputation period shall not exceed three years)

General Instructions

• Candidates should carefully read the “Instructions” available on Commission’s website before filling the application online.
• In case of non-availability of suitable candidates with the knowledge of Konkani for the posts in professional colleges, Consultants in Directorate of Health Services and highly technical/scientific posts, the Goa Public Service Commission may recommend a candidate if otherwise found fit and this requirement can be relaxed by the Government, on the recommendation of the Goa Public Service Commission, if the Government is of the opinion that it is necessary or expedient so to do.
• Prescribed EQs are minimum & mere possession of same does not entitle the candidates to be called for interview. Where number of applications received is large, the Commission will short list the candidates to be called for interview as mentioned in the “Instructions”.

• The last date for filling up the applications for all posts other than the posts by transfer on deputation is 26.01.2024. The last date for filling up the applications for transfer on deputation posts only is 26.02.2024.
