The Directorate of Education, Alto Porvorim Goa, has announced its 2024 recruitment for Pre-Primary Teachers and Academic Resource Persons for Career Counselling. A total of 97 positions are available with salaries ranging from ₹7,000 to ₹25,000.

The recruitment process includes a walk-in interview, scheduled for September 17, 2024, for Pre-Primary Teacher positions and September 18, 2024, for Academic Resource Persons for Career Counselling. Interviews will be conducted at the Directorate of Education, Alto Porvorim, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

For the Pre-Primary Teacher role, candidates must have completed Senior Secondary (Class XII) with a minimum of 50% marks or 45% as per the National Council for Teacher Education, along with a Diploma in Nursery Teacher Education or a B.Ed in Nursery.

Academic Resource Persons for Career Counselling should have at least a Graduation degree, preferably with a certificate or diploma in Career Counselling or a Master’s in Psychology, and relevant experience.

• Pre-Primary Teachers - Senior Secondary (Class XII or its equivalent) from recognized board with at least 50% marks. Senior Secondary (Class XII or its equivalent) from recognized board with at least 45% marks with accordance with the National Council for Teacher Education.
• Diploma in Nursey Teacher Education/Pre-School Education/Early Childhood Education Programme (D.E.C.Ed) of duration of not less than two years, or B.Ed (Nursery) from National Council for Teacher Education recognized Institution.
• Academic Resource Person for Career Counselling - Minimum at-least Graduation; with certificate of diploma in Career counseling /PG Diploma in Counselling or Masters in Psychology (Prefered).
• Graduate with a diploma; at least 5 years of teaching /counseling experience. If a master’s 1 year of relevant experience could suffice. Preferred minimum of one year experience in providing career/educational counseling to students at schools.
