ZSI Recruitment 2024 Notification Out Junior Project Fellow Vacancies, Check Eligibility at zsi.gov.in

The Zoological Survey of India is seeking eligible candidates for the position of Junior Project Fellow (JPF) for a three-year project titled "Study on Population, Resource Partitioning and Habitat Utilization for Conservation and Management of Horseshoe Crabs along Odisha Coast." The JPF must hold a Master's degree in Zoology, Life Sciences, Biological Sciences, or equivalent, with Zoology as a major subject and a minimum of 60% marks.

Desirable qualifications include research experience in taxonomy, systematics, zoology, or related fields, along with field survey experience in wildlife and knowledge of basic field data collection and computer skills. The remuneration for CSIR/UGC NET/GATE qualified candidates is Rs. 31,000/- plus admissible HRA, and for non-NET/GATE qualified candidates, it is Rs. 20,000/- plus admissible HRA.

The JPF is expected to conduct extensive field surveys along the east coast of India and must be physically fit. The age limit is 28 years, with relaxations for certain categories. Candidates will be shortlisted based on qualifications and experience and informed for virtual interviews. The Director reserves the right of selection or rejection without assigning any reason.

Age Limit for ZSI Recruitment 2024

Applications are sought for the position of Junior Project Fellow (JRF), with an upper age limit of 28 years as of April 30, 2024. Candidates from SC/ST/OBC-NCL/Women/Physically Challenged categories have a relaxation of up to 5 years.

Selection Process for ZSI Recruitment 2024

• Candidate will be shortlisted on the basis of their qualification and experience. Mere possession of qualification and experience may not entertain a candidate called for interview or selection. Although, there is indication for number of vacancy, the Director, ZSI reserve the rights for selection of any number of candidates.
• Short listed candidates will be informed through email / Whatsapp for appearing before an interview committee virtually
• Candidate selected will be liable to posted anywhere in the country, including field sites and HQ, regional centres of ZSI, will have to join immediately after their selection.
