Online applications from Indian citizens shall be invited for engagement of 58th batch (for Non-ITI & ITI Category) of Trade Apprentices under the ‘Apprentices Act 1961 and amendment thereof’ in Ordnance & Ordnance Equipment Factories located in different states across India.
The number of vacancies is approximately 4039(1463 Non-ITI and 2576 Ex-ITI category) in the Ordnance Factories. The purpose of exercise is to promote the flagship program of the Government of India i.e. Skill India Mission.

Qualification Details
For Non-ITI Category:
- Should have Passed Madhyamik (class X std or equivalent) as on closing date of application with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and with 40% marks in Mathematics and Science each.
For ITI Category:
- Should have passed relevant trade test from any institute recognized by NCVT or SCVT or any other authority specified through Gazette notification of Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship/Ministry of Labour and Employment with duration as per the Apprentice Act 1961 plus passed Madhyamik / Class X std or equivalent (Minimum 50% aggregate marks both in Matriculate & ITI).
- The candidate should possess the qualification as on the closing date of the online application
Age Limit
Minimum age for an apprentice is 14 years and 18 years for designated trades related to hazardous industries, as per section 3(a) of the Apprentice Act, 1961 and amendments thereof. The upper age limit is 35 years.
Application Fee
Pay the fee of ₹200 (UR/OBC) or ₹100 (SC/ST/Female/Other), excluding transaction charges and 18% GST on the fee amount. Additional payment gateway charges are as follows:
- Internet Banking via SBI: ₹10 per transaction + GST
- Internet Banking via other banks: ₹15 per transaction + GST
Note
1) Online submission of application does not imply that candidate has fulfilled all the criteria mentioned in the notification. Selection shall remain subject to subsequent scrutiny of documents and the candidature may be cancelled if the candidate is found ineligible.
2) Candidates are advised to read the advertisement completely before filling the application form.
3) Candidates are advised to use Personal Computers (PC), for filling online application for Trade Apprentice. Please don’t use mobile for filling the online application.
4) Please ensure a reliable internet connection to avoid online application fee payment failure.
5) Please don’t press "Back Button" or refresh the page during online fee payment.

- Detailed Advertisement and other details will be made available on the official website of YIL i.e. https://www.yantraindia.co.in/. Kindly note that the online portal for submission of applications by the candidates is likely to be opened during last week of October 2024 and all the prospective candidates are advised to keep checking YIL’s official website for latest updates.
- Candidates who have already applied through the Government of India portal, www.apprenticeship.gov.in are required to re-apply through our website of YIL i.e. https://www.yantraindia.co.in/
- Candidates should take note that any addendum/corrigendum in respect of change in calendar of events, vacancies etc. will be uploaded/published through e-portal, website https://www.yantraindia.co.in only and no separate notice through any other means will be issued.
