The Director (Operations) role is a key executive position, reporting to the Chairman & Managing Director and serving on the Board of Directors. Responsibilities encompass overseeing company operations, including planning and production, strategic business expansion, quality assurance, modernization, project management, and indigenization.
The role involves ensuring the efficient implementation of production plans, timely and cost-effective project completion, and upgrading manufacturing capabilities.Eligible candidates must meet specific criteria: they should be currently employed in a regular capacity within a Central or State Public Sector Enterprise, Central Government Group 'A' services, the Armed Forces, Public Sector Banks, Financial Institutions, or the private sector with an annual turnover of at least Rs 1500 crore.
Preference is given to candidates from listed companies. Applicants must be engineering graduates, preferably in Mechanical, Chemical, or Metallurgical Engineering, with an MBA/PGDIM as an added advantage. They should have at least five years of relevant experience within the last decade in the defense production industry. Age and pay scale criteria must also be met, with different requirements for internal and external candidates.

Qualifications Details for Yantra India Limited Recruitment 2024
- The applicant should be an Engineering graduate preferable in Mechanical/ Chemical/ Metallurgical Engineering from a recognized University/ Institution with good academic record. MBA/PGDIM qualifications will have an added advantage.
- The applicant should have at least 5 years cumulative experience/exposure during the last 10 years in Engineering Components/ Equipment and in various metallurgical processes in Defence Production Industry.
Age Limit for Yantra India Limited Recruitment 2024
The age criteria for the Director (Operations) position stipulate that candidates must be at least 45 years old on the date of occurrence of vacancy (DOV). The age of superannuation is 60 years. Internal candidates must have at least two years of residual service left as of the DOV, while external candidates must have at least three years of residual service left as of the DOV.
