West Bengal Panchayat Recruitment 2024: Check Post, Salary, Age Limit and How to Apply

The Government of West Bengal has approved the filling of 6,652 vacancies in various posts across Gram Panchayats, Panchayat Samitis, Zilla Parishads, and Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad.

Following reports from districts and concurrence from the Finance Department, the proposal was sanctioned by the State Cabinet. District Level Selection Committees (DLSCs) in each district, including those in Darjeeling and Kalimpong under the GTA jurisdiction, are instructed to fill these vacancies through direct recruitment, adhering strictly to existing recruitment rules and reservation policies.

All formalities outlined in previous departmental orders regarding recruitment under Panchayati Raj Bodies must be observed, with reference to the relevant government orders communicated in a memorandum dated January 22, 2024.

Qualification for West Bengal Panchayat Recruitment 2024

Essential Qualifications:

• Either a diploma in computer science or computer application, or a graduation from any institution approved by the state government, central government, or the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) is required.
• Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Expertise in rural development and social work.
• A postgraduate degree or diploma in rural development or social work from a recognized institution or university.

Salary for West Bengal Panchayat Recruitment 2024

• Pay Scale: The salary structure for WB Gram Panchayat Recruitment 2024 ranges from Rs. 28,900 to Rs. 74,500.
• Grade Pay: Candidates will receive a grade pay of Rs. 3,600.
• Pay Level: The pay level for the recruited candidates is Level 9.
