The University of Hyderabad invites applications for two Post-Doctoral Research Fellowships in the School of Engineering Sciences and Technology, under the Institution of Eminence funded Post-Doctoral Fellowship scheme. Candidates with a PhD in relevant disciplines are eligible to apply, with desirable qualifications including three published papers in international journals and previous research experience.
The fellows will work under faculty mentors, engaging in high-quality research and potentially teaching responsibilities. Eligible candidates must apply by May 10, 2024, and will undergo a selection process based on their qualifications and an interview.
The fellowship offers a monthly consolidated stipend of Rs. 55,000, with additional benefits including a research grant of Rs. 1,00,000 per annum. Qualifications Details for University Of Hyderabad Recruitment 2024
- Ph.D. in one of the following Engineering/Technology disciplines; Mechanical, Materials, Metallurgical, Nano, Production, Manufacturing or in one of the following Science disciplines; Materials, Nano, Physics and Chemistry
- Ph.D. in one of the following Engineering/Technology disciplines; Mechanical, Materials, Nanotechnology, or in one of the following Science disciplines; Materials, Nanoscience, Physics (Solidstate physics)
- PhD in Materials Science/Materials Engineering/physics/chemistry
- Ph.D. in one of the following Engineering/Technology disciplines; Mechanical, Materials, Metallurgical, Nano or in one of the following Science disciplines; Materials, Nano, Physics and Chemistry
- Ph.D. in one of the following Engineering/Technology disciplines; Mechanical, Materials, Metallurgical, Nano, Ceramic, Chemical, Industrial, Production, on Manufacturing or in one of the following Science disciplines; Materials, Nano, Physics and Chemistry
- Ph.D. in one of the following Engineering/Technology disciplines; Mechanical, Materials, Metallurgical, and Ceramic, Chemical, Industrial, Production, Manufacturing or in one of the following Science disciplines; Materials, Nano, Physics and Chemistry
- 3 published papers in refereed international journals (SCOPUS/WOS indexed). Out of three, a minimum of two publications as first author in journals with an impact factor not less than 2.
Age Limit for University Of Hyderabad Recruitment 2024
The upper age limit for the fellowship is 32 years (at the time of the submission of the application), and age relaxation of up to 3 (three) years will be given to candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/Women/PWD/EWS candidates.
Pay Scale for University Of Hyderabad Recruitment 2024
- Fellowship: Rs. 55,000/- per month (consolidated) and Rs. 35,000 per month for candidates who have submitted the thesis and are awaiting the degree award.
- Research Grant: Rs. 1,00,000/ contingencies, and domestic travel - - per annum. The grant can be used for consumables, for attending conferences/research meetings/symposia). Purchase of items such as minor equipment, laptops, tablets, furniture, or any other form of the asset are NOT permitted.
- The IOE-PDRFs are not eligible to receive any other fellowship from any Government or non- Governmental source during the tenure of the fellowship. If availing of any other fellowship/ remuneration, he/she must resign before accepting the IOE-PDRF at UoH.
Selection Process for University Of Hyderabad Recruitment 2024
- The final selection will be based on an online/in-person interview of short-listed candidates. The candidates shall attend the in-person interviews at their own expense.
- It may be noted that merely satisfying the minimum eligibility conditions does not guarantee short- listing or selection.
- The University reserves the right to fill as many vacancies as it decides (i.e., not all vacancies may be filled).
- Research record of the number of publications, the journal's impact factor, citations of the article, and the patents and books/book chapters.
- The institution from which the degree is awarded. Center/institute of national importance or institute in the top 200 ranks worldwide will receive added weightage.
