Applications are invited from Indian citizens for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) on a purely temporary and contract basis in a DST-SERB Core Research Grant Project titled "Polariton Induced Reverse Intersystem Crossing Dynamics for Understanding the Efficiency of Modern Display Devices," under the supervision of Principal Investigator Dr. Swapan Chakrabarti at the Department of Chemistry, University of Calcutta.
The eligibility criteria include an M.Sc. in Chemistry with specialization in Physical Chemistry or a Master's degree project work in Theoretical Chemistry from a UGC-recognized university or government-approved institute, with a minimum of 55% marks.
The tenure of the position is initially for one year, extendable based on research performance and availability of grant, with the possibility of extension as Senior Research Fellow (SRF). The monthly fellowship for JRF is Rs. 31,000 + 24% HRA, while for SRF it is Rs. 35,000 + 24% HRA, with potential enhancement if sanctioned by DST in the future. Qualifications Details for University of Calcutta Recruitment 2024
- M. Sc. in Chemistry (Physical Chemistry Specialization or Master Degree Project work in Theoretical Chemistry) from a UGC recognized university or a government-approved institute
- At least 55% (or equivalent) marks in M. Sc.
- NET (CSIR, UGC, Lectureship)/GATE qualification within the period of validity of joining as a JRF
