Qualification for UCSL Recruitment 2024

• Three-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a State Board of Technical Education. ITI (NTC) in Welding trade or Sheet metal worker trade or Bench fitter or Fitter trade or Plumber trade from the State Board of Technical Education.
• Three-year Diploma in Electrical or Electronics Engineering from a State Board of Technical Education. Or b) ITI (NTC) in Electrical or Electronic trade from a state-recognized Industrial Training Institute
• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry OR Threeyear Diploma in any branch of Engineering from a State Board of Technical Education. OR b) ITI (NTC) in any trade from a state-recognized Industrial Training Institute.
• Three-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a State Board of Technical Education. Or b) ITI (NTC) in Welding trade or Sheet metal worker trade or Bench fitter or Fitter trade or Plumber trade from the State Board of Technical Education.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Arts (other than Fine Arts or Performing Arts) or Science or Commerce or Computer Applications or Bachelor of Social Work, or Business Administration, with a minimum of 60% of marks from a recognized University.

• 1st year: Rs. 40,650/-
• 2nd year: Rs. 41,490/-
• 3rd year: Rs. 42,355/-
• 4th year: Rs. 43,246/-
• 5th year: Rs. 44,164/-

Place of Posting for UCSL Recruitment 2024

• The above post is temporary in nature and for a maximum period of five years subject to project requirements and individual performance.
• The posting shall be at the UCSL Malpe Unit/any other UCSL units/project sites as desired by UCSL. However, depending on project requirements, the candidates are liable to be transferred to different units of UCSL.
• The appointment to the post carries with it the obligation to serve in any department of UCSL or on-board ships or in any of the units/work sites/ projects undertaken in any part of India or abroad as the case may be.

Age Limit for UCSL Recruitment 2024

1. The upper age limit prescribed for the post shall not exceed 45 years as of 12 July 2024 i.e. applicants should be born on or after 13 July 1979.
2. The upper age limit is relaxable by 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates in posts reserved for them.
3. Age relaxation for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) and Ex-servicemen shall be as per Government of India guidelines. However, in no case, the age limit after applying all age relaxations shall exceed 50 years.

Application Fee for UCSL Recruitment 2024

• An application fee of ₹ 300/- (Non-refundable, plus bank charges extra) should be remitted using the online payment options (Debit card/Credit card/Internet Banking) which can be accessed through our Online application facility from 19 June 2024 to 12 July 2024.
• No other mode of payment shall be accepted.
• Applicants belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Scheduled Tribe (ST)/ Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) need not pay the application fee. They are exempted from payment of the application fee.
• All applicants, for whom the fee is applicable, i.e. except those belonging to SC/ST/PwBD, should pay the application fee as stipulated in the above clause. It is important to note that their candidature shall be considered only on receipt of the application fee.

Selection Procedure for UCSL Recruitment 2024

• The method of selection shall include:- (i)Phase I - Written test (Objective Type Test – 40 Marks & Descriptive Type Test– 40 Marks) for all the posts
• (ii) Phase II – PowerPoint presentation on work experience (20 Marks) for the posts mentioned
• Phase II – Practical Test (20 Marks) for the post mentioned in SL No. 4 of Table 2 (Supervisor – Scaffolding)
• Depending upon the number of online applications, the objective type test shall be held at any place in UCSL-Malpe as decided by UCSL. The allocation of examination center shall be at the sole discretion of UCSL.
• The Phase I - Objective type test shall be of 45 minutes duration and consists of two parts – General (Part A) and Discipline related (Part B). Part A comprises General Knowledge, General English, Reasoning, and Quantitative Aptitude.

• The application consists of two phases –One-time Registration and submission of application against the post applicable.
• Applicants should not submit more than one application. Application once submitted shall be final.
• Applicants meeting the notified requirements may do the one-time Registration in the SAP Online portal and submit their application.
• The facility to submit their application can be accessed through our website www.cochinshipyard.in (Career page → UCSL, Malpe) or www.udupicsl.com (Career page) from 19 June 2024 to 12 July 2024.
• Application submitted directly or by any other mode shall not be accepted.
• Applicants should ensure that all certificates towards proof of age, educational qualification, experience, caste, disability, etc., and a recent passport-size color photograph are uploaded in the SAP online application portal, failing which their candidature shall not be considered and shall be rejected.
• The website shall remain functional to submit applications from 19 June 2024 and the last date for submission of applications through online is 12 July 2024.
