The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has extended the deadline for applications for the position of Advisor (Financial & Economic Analysis) at its New Delhi headquarters on deputation basis. The position, initially for three years or until superannuation, offers a salary in Pay Level-14 plus allowances as per government rules.
Eligible candidates must be officers of the Central Government, Public Sector Undertakings, or Statutory and Autonomous Bodies, either holding an equivalent post in Level-14 on a regular basis, having four years of regular service in Pay Level-13, or possessing seventeen years of regular service in Group 'A' with a minimum of four years at Pay Level-13. Essential qualifications include a Master/Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Commerce, Engineering, Law, or Science, or membership of professional accounting bodies, along with relevant experience.
Desirable qualifications include a background in Economics or Statistics. Applicants must have working knowledge of econometric modeling and statistical tools for economic regulations. The appointment will follow deputation on foreign service terms, governed by relevant government instructions, with a maximum age limit of 58 years. Qualifications Details for TRAI Recruitment 202
- A Master/ Bachelors Degree in Business Administration/ Economics/ Commerce Engineering/ Law/ Science/ Humanities from a recognized University/ institution or, Membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India/ Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India and possessing requisite experience in the relevant field.
- Graduation/ Post Economics/ Statistics. Graduation in Experience possessing working knowledge of Econometric modeling, use of statistical tools for use in economic regulations, regulatory cost analysis and tariff issues.
Age Limit for TRAI Recruitment 2024
The appointment will be made on deputation on foreign service terms and will be governed by the instructions issued by the DoP&Trg. OM No. 6/8/2009- Estt. (Pay II) dated 17th June, 2010, as amended from time to time. The
maximum age for appointment on deputation shall in no case exceed 58 years on the last date of submission of applications in TRAI.
Pay Scale for TRAI Recruitment 2024
The position of Advisor at TRAI offers a salary in Pay Level-14, ranging from Rs. 144,200 to Rs. 218,200 in the Pay Matrix as per the 7th Central Pay Commission, along with allowances like Dearness Allowance (DA) and House Rent Allowance (HRA) as per government regulations. This corresponds to a pre-revised scale of Pay Band 4, with a range of Rs. 37,400 to Rs. 67,000, and a Grade Pay of Rs. 10,000.
