The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) is a government-established body in India, formed under the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India Act, 1997. Its role is to regulate the telecommunications sector in the country. TRAI is composed of a chairperson, up to two full-time members, and up to two part-time members. An ordinance amended the TRAI Act on January 24, 2000, introducing the Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal to handle adjudication and dispute functions previously managed by TRAI.

Online Applications are invited for the recruitment of Advisor positions at the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India. The application period commences on Dec 11, 2023, and concludes on 19.01.2024

Qualification, Age Limit, Pay Scale for TRAI Recruitment 2024

Advisor

• Educational and other qualifications: A Master/ Bachelors Degree in Business Administration/ Economics/ Qualification Commerce/ Engineering/ Law/ Science/ Humanities from a recognized University/ institution or, Membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India/ Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India and possessing requisite experience in the relevant field.
• Eligibility criteria: Officers of the Central Government, Public Sector Undertakings and Statutory and Autonomous Bodies Holding an equivalent post in Level-14 on regular basis OR Having four years of regular service in the Pay Level-13 OR Having seventeen years of regular service in Group 'A' and having held a post of Pay Level-13 for a minimum period of four vears.
• Pay Level: Pay Level-14; Rs. 144200-218200 in Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC plus allowances such as DA, HRA etc. as per Govt. Rules. [Pre-revised PB-4, Rs. 37400-67000+ GP Rs. 10000]
• Age Limit: The maximum age for appointment on deputation shall in no case exceed 58 years on the last date of submission of applications in TRAI.

All the Ministries/ Departments, Central Public Sector Undertakings and Statutory and Autonomous Bodies of Government of India are requested to forward duly attested hard copy of filled online application form (downloaded from https://vacancies.trai.gov.in) along with attested copies of ACRs/APARs for the last five years, vigilance / disciplinary clearance and cadre clearance of eligible candidates, whose services could be placed at the disposal of the Authority immediately in the event of their selection.
