In pursuance to the requisition received from the Department of Higer Education Govt. of Odisha, online applications are invited from prospective candidates for recruitment of Junior Assistants (Group C, Level 4), PETs (Group B, Level 9) & Laboratory Assistant-Cum-Storekeepers (Group B, Level 9) in Government Degree Colleges of Odisha as per ORSP Rules, 2017.

Qualification for SSB Recruitment 2024
Junior Assistant
A candidate must have passed +3 in Arts or Science or Commerce or such other qualification as is equivalent to *3 examination with basic skill and knowledge in Computer and Information Technology applications.
PET
A candidate must have possessed Bachelor Degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed) or Bachelor Degree in Arts with Certificate in Physical Education (B.A.C.P.Ed). The candidate must be of good mental condition and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the discharge of his / her duties in the service.
Laboratorv Assistant-Cum-Storekeeper
A candidate must have possessed Bachelor Degree with Honours in respective Practical Subjects i.e. Physics, Chernistry, Botany, Zoology, Anthropology, Education, Geography, Geology, Home Science & Psychology.
Age Limit for SSB Recruitment 2024
The minimum age limit for all categories of candidates shall be 21 years and the maximum age shall be 38 years of age as on 1s January 2024 i.e., he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd January, 1986 and not later than 1st January, 2003.
Application fees for SSB Recruitment 2024
- A non-refundable and non-adjustable fee of Rs. 500/- (Rupees five hundred only) for the Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes / PwDs and Rs. 1000/- (Rupees one thousand only) for other categories are to be collected.
- The amount shall be deposited online at the time of submission of online application.
Selection Procedure for SSB Recruitment 2024
Junior Assistant: The selection will be based on Written Test and Skill Test
Physical Education Teacher (P.E.T) & Laboratory Assistant-Cum-Storekeeper:
- The selection shall be on the basis of the Written Test only. The Written Test will carry full marks of 150 and Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQ) will be set.
- The duration of the test will be of two hours. The questions will be based on the syllabus to be uploaded in SSB website.
- The questions are to be answered in carbonless OMR Answer Sheets. There shall be 100 Questions having equal weightage.
- While for each right answer, 1.5 marks will be awarded, for each wrong answer there will be negative marking of 0.5 mark.
- Qualifuing mark in the written examination for candidates under Unreserved category shall be 40Yo and that for candidates under SC/ST/SEBC & PwD categories shall be 30%.
How to Apply for SSB Recruitment 2024
- Candidate must apply online through the website of State Selection Board, Odisha
- Candidate must go through the detailed INSTRUCTIONS before filling up the online Application Form.
- It is extremely important that candidates should give their percentage of marks secured in Undergraduate (+3) degree while filling up the online application form by effecting necessary conversion of C.G.P.A as per the conversion formula of their respective degree awarding University / institution
- Candidates are required to upload their latest passport size photograph (taken within fifteen days before the submission of application) along with scanned image of their full signature and lefthand thumb impression, which must be clearly identifiable / visible.
- Otherwise, the application of the candidate is liable to be rejected.
- The requisite fee must be deposited online at the time of submission of online application.
- Candidates are advised to submit the online application form well within the timeline without waiting for the closing date to avoid last hour rush.
