The Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute (SRFTI) in Kolkata is inviting applications for the position of Director, with a salary range of Rs. 144,200-218,200/-. Eligible candidates must be below 56 years of age and possess a graduate degree from a recognized university. Additionally, applicants should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the Film/Electronic Media field, including at least three years in a leadership role at a notable academic or professional institution.
Experience in writing stories, lyrics, screenplay, script for films or TV programs, as well as editing, production, or direction of films or TV programs, is also required. The appointment will be on a deputation basis for a period not exceeding five years.

Qualifications Details for SRFTI Recruitment 2024
- Graduate from a recognized University.
- Minimum 10 years experience in the field of Film/Electronic Media out of which minimum three years of experience in heading an Academic/professional Institution/University/Department/Organisation of National repute
- Writing Stories/Lyrics/Screenplay/Script for films or TV programmes
- Editing of Film/TV programmes
- Production of Film/TV programme
- Direction of film/plays/TV programmes
Age Limit for SRFTI Recruitment 2024
The maximum age limit for appointment on Deputation shall not exceed 56 years. Period of deputation including the period of deputation (including short term contract) in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organization/Department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not exceed 5 years
Pay Scale for SRFTI Recruitment 2024
Pay Level – 14 (Rs.144200 – Rs.218200/-) as per 7th CPC (Pre-revised PB-4 i.e. Rs.37,400 – Rs.67,000/-) + Grade Pay Rs. 10,000/- of the Central Government and other allowances, as admissible under Central Government Rules. The Director will also be eligible for a rent free residential accommodation in the SRFTI campus.
