Southern Railway Recruitment 2024 Eligibility Criteria
- Retired Loco Pilots preferably retired from MDU division. It may be noted staff who have been compulsory retired on safety shall not be reengaged for the scheme. Retired employee being re-engaged, should not have been covered under the Safety Related Retirement Scheme/ Liberalized Active Retirement Scheme for Guaranteed Employment for Safety Staff (LARGESS)
Southern Railway Recruitment 2024 Age Limit
Maximum age limit for such re-engagement shall continue to be 65 years
Southern Railway Recruitment 2024 Pay Scale
- Monthly remuneration to be governed by Rly.Bd.Letter.No. E(NG)II/2007/RC-4/CORE/1 dtd:24.10.2019 PCPO/MAS PBC.No.258/2019 dtd:12.11.2019. The re-engaged retired staff are not entitled for any other benefit or facilities except monthly fixed remuneration

Southern Railway Recruitment General Conditions
- Re-engagement is purely on temporary basis and reengaged retired staff will be terminated as and when suitable regular incumbents join the post either by way of recruitment or by transfer or on attaining the age of 65 whichever is earlier, on cessation of the scheme or due to surrender of post due to Man Power Planning
- Such re-engaged Loco Pilots can be terminated after giving a notice period of one month.
- Paid leave of absence may be allowed at the rate of 1.5 days for each completed month of service
- Re-engaged retired staff will not have the right for continuity/extension of reengagement
- In case of absence of duty, proportionate amount of remuneration per day will be deducted
- The TA/DA shall be payable as per extant rules.
- The re-engagement is subject to the orders issued by Railway Board from time to time
