Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology (SLIET) is conducting walk-in interviews for Guest Faculty positions on September 18, 2024, with interviews starting at 9:00 AM for departments including Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering, Management & Humanities (English), and Physics.
Candidates must have a BE/B.Tech and ME/M.Tech/MS or Integrated M.Tech with at least 55% marks and First Class at the graduation level, along with NET/SLET/SET qualification or a Ph.D. from a top 500 global university. The position offers a salary of Rs. 40,000 per month, with Rs. 1000 per lecture. Applicants should bring a completed bio-data form, original documents, and self-attested photocopies.
No travel allowances will be provided, and the engagement is part-time with no guarantee of a regular appointment. The Institute reserves the right to change criteria and will not entertain correspondence regarding the process or results.

Qualifications Details for SLIET Recruitment 2024
- BE/B. Tech and ME/M. Tech/MS, or Integrated M. Tech. in relevant subject with First Class or equivalent grade point wherever grading system is followed.Good academic record as defined by the concerned university with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master's Degree level and First Class at the Graduation Level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
- Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be are exempted from NET/SLET/SET :
- Note-1: NET/SLET/SET is not required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET. OR The Ph.D degree has been obtained from a foreign university/institution with a ranking among top 500 in the World University Ranking (at any time) by any one of the following: (i) Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) (ii) the Times Higher Education (THE) or ii) the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Shanghai). Note-2 :in case candidates with NET, SLET/SET qualification are not available, then Non- NET qualified candidates can also be considered.
Pay Scale for SLIET Recruitment 2024
- Guest Faculty @ Rs.1000/- per lecture subject to a maximum of Rs.40,000/- per month.
Walk-in Details for SLIET Recruitment 2024
- The interested candidates having the requisite qualifications should bring complete bio-data in the prescribed format (available on www.sliet.ac.in) along with original and self-attested photocopies of their proof of date of birth, eligibility, qualification mark sheets, degrees, paper publications, paper presentation, Project sanctioned letter and other relevant testimonials. The interested candidates should reach in the respective departments on the dates mentioned against each discipline between 9.00 A.M. to 10.00 A.M.
- The walk-in interviews for various departments will be held on September 18, 2024, starting at 9:00 AM. The departments conducting interviews are Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering, Management & Humanities (English), and Physics. All interviews will take place on the same day and commence at the same time, 9:00 AM, and continue onwards.
- Applicants for the walk-in interviews on September 18, 2024, must meet the advertisement criteria and present original documents at the interview or their application will be rejected. Reserved category candidates will receive statutory relaxation, but no travel allowances will be provided. The Institute may use various methods for screening, and mere eligibility does not guarantee an interview.
- No correspondence regarding eligibility or results will be entertained, and the Institute may change shortlisting criteria as needed. Applicants should regularly check the website for updates. Canvassing will disqualify candidates, and the engagement is purely part-time with no assurance of a regular appointment. Previous contractual or guest faculty are also eligible to apply. Any typographical errors or clarifications will be decided by the Director of the Institute.
