SJVN, previously known as Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam, is a government-owned company engaged in generating and transmitting hydroelectric power. Established in 1988 as Nathpa Jhakri Power Corporation, it was a collaboration between the Government of India and the Government of Himachal Pradesh. The company operates two hydropower plants, Nathpa Jhakri and Rampur, with a combined capacity of 1912 MW. Additionally, SJVN has 97.6 MW of wind power and 81.9 MW of solar power capacity.
Online applications are invited for the recruitment of Field Engineer positions at the Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam. The application period commences on 02.01.2024, and concludes on 22.01.2024

Field Engineer (Electrical/Civil)
- Number Vacancy: 04
- Educational and other qualifications: Full time regular Degree in Electrical/ Electrical & Electronics/ Civil Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute of India.
- Experience: 6/10 years of postqualification executive experience in S&I / Construction/ O&M of Hydro Power Projects.
- Pay Scale: 80,000/ 97, 000
- Age Limit: Upper age limit 40 Years
Mode of Selection for SJVN Recruitment 2024
The selection process for these posts consists of Personal Interviews which will be held at Corporate Head Quarter, Shimla.

How to Apply for SJVN Recruitment 2024
Eligible and interested candidates would be required to apply online through SJVN’s website: www.sjvn.nic.in. No other means/ mode of application shall be accepted. Before registering their applications on the website, the candidates should possess the following:
- Valid e-mail ID and mobile number, which should remain valid for at least one year.
- Personal details and educational qualification details and a Debit card/ Credit card/ Internet banking detail via which the payment of application fee of Rs 590/- (Rs. 500/- plus GST@18%) (SC/ST/PWD exempted) is to be made on online recruitment portal. Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstance.
- Candidates should have scanned copy of latest passport size photograph as well as photograph of signatures in digital format (.jpg or .jpeg file only, less than 500 KB size) for uploading with the application form.
