The Department of Chemical Engineering at Shiv Nadar Institution of Eminence Deemed to Be University is seeking applications for a temporary Project Associate-I position funded by SERB. Led by Dr. Swaminath Bharadwaj Gourishankar, the project focuses on computational design of polymeric nano-compartments.
Applicants need B. Engg./B. Tech in Chemical Engg./Biochemical Engg./Biotechnology or M.Sc. in Natural Sciences, with or without GATE/NET. Essential qualifications include molecular dynamics simulations, while desirable qualifications include protein/polymer simulations.

Qualification for Shiv Nadar University Recruitment 2024
- B. Engg./B. Tech in Chemical Engg./Biochemical Engg./Biotechnology or M.Sc. in Natural Sciences or equivalent from a recognised university with valid GATE/ NET or similar other national level examinations (Candidates without GATE/ NET or similar other national level examinations can also apply).
- Knowledge of molecular dynamics simulations and basic statistical mechanics. Experience with open-source MD codes such as LAMMPS or GROMACS, Linux and C/C++/Python
- Experience in protein or polymer simulations, advanced sampling techniques such as thermodynamic integration and umbrella sampling (using PLUMED)
Salary for Shiv Nadar University Recruitment 2024
- Rs. 31,000/- pm + 9 % HRA (1st & 2nd year) for candidates with valid GATE/ NET or similar other national level ranking.
- Candidates without GATE/ NET or similar other national level ranking would get Rs. 25,000/-pm + 9 % HRA (1st & 2nd year).
Selection Procedure for Shiv Nadar University Recruitment 2024

- No T.A./D.A. or any other allowances will be paid for attending the interview.
- The decision of the selection committee regarding the selection of candidates will be final and no further correspondence will be entertained in this regard.

- Fellowship may be terminated at any time in case of any misconduct, unsatisfactory research work, or if a fellow is found ineligible later.
- The rules and regulations of SNIoE and/or the DST-SERB will be applicable on the selected candidate.
