Qualification for SED Karnataka Recruitment 2024
Teacher for Classes 1 – 5:
- Candidates must have completed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks and should have passed or be appearing in the final year of a 2-year D.El.Ed program, 4th year of B.El.Ed program, or a 2-year D.Ed (Special Education) program. Alternatively, candidates with a BA/B.Sc degree with a minimum of 50% marks and who have passed or are appearing in the final year of a 2-year D.Ed program are also eligible.
Teacher for Classes 6 – 8 (Paper – II)
- Candidates should have a BA/B.Sc degree with a minimum of 50% marks and should have passed or be appearing in the final year of a 2-year D.El.Ed program, 2-year B.Ed program, 4-year B.El.Ed program, or final year of B.Ed (Special Education) program.
- Alternatively, candidates who have completed PUC/Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks and have passed or are appearing in the final year of a 4-year B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed program are also eligible.
Pay Scale for SED Karnataka Recruitment 2024
The pay scale for SED Karnataka Recruitment 2024 is set at INR 9,300-34,800 with a grade pay of INR 4200. This results in a basic salary of INR 13,500. Additionally, the dearness allowance, calculated at 90%, amounts to INR 12,150. House rent allowance is provided at INR 1,350 for rural areas. a. To be eligible for Karnataka TET, candidates must meet the following criteria:
For Paper 1 (Class 1-5):
- PUC/Senior Secondary with 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- PUC/Senior Secondary with 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EL.Ed).
- Senior Secondary with 50% marks and passed, or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
- Graduation with 50% marks and passing or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- Graduation with 50% marks and passing or appearing in Final-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
For Paper 2 (Class 6-8):
- Graduation with 50% marks and passing or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- Graduation with 50% marks and passing or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
- PUC/Senior Secondary with 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
- PUC/Senior Secondary with 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
- Graduation with 50% marks and passing or appearing in Final-year B.Ed. (Special Education).
b. There is a relaxation of up to 5% in the qualifying marks for candidates belonging to reserved categories.
c. The minimum qualifications apply to teachers of Languages, Social Studies, Mathematics, and Science.
d. Candidates provisionally admitted in the final year of a Bachelor's Degree in Education or Diploma in Elementary Education are eligible, but their Karnataka TET Certificate will be valid only upon passing the respective examinations.
