SECR Raipur Division & Wagon Repair Shop, Raipur, has issued a notification inviting online applications for engagement as Trade Apprentices under the Apprentices Act-1961 for the year 2024-25. Eligible candidates can apply through the website from April 2, 2024, to May 1, 2024 (until 12:00 AM).
The recruitment is for various designated trades at the DRM Office, Raipur Division, and Wagon Repair Shop, Raipur. The last date for the receipt of applications is May 1, 2024. No physical copy of the application needs to be sent to the Raipur Division or Wagon Repair Shop.

Qualifications Details for SECR Recruitment 2024
- Must have passed 10th class examination under 10+2 system of education or its equivalent with minimum 50% (aggregate) marks.
- Must have passed I.T.I course in relevant trade from a Recognized Institution.
- The candidates should have already passed the prescribed qualification on the date of issue of Notification. Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination and candidates whose result of qualifying examination awaited are not eligible
Age Limit for SECR Recruitment 2024
- The candidates should have completed 15 years of age and should NOT havecompleted 24 years of age as on 02.04.2024.
- The upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ ST candidates, 03 years for OBC, 10 vears for Ex-Servicemen and PWBD.
- Relaxation in age is subject to submission of recent caste certificate. The candidate who want to avail the benefit of reservation of SC/ST, must produce his/her Caste certificate on Central Government format issued by appropriate authority as per sample at the time of Document Verification.
- Similarly, candidates who want to avail the benefit of reservation of OBC, must produce Caste certificate and Non-Creamy Layer Certificate on
Central Government format issued by appropriate authority as per sample at the time of Document Verification. OBC Certificate should not be older than one year from the date of closure of this Notification.
Pay Scale for SECR Recruitment 2024
- Selected candidates will be engaged as apprentices and they will undergo apprenticeship training for a period 1 Year for each trade.
- They will be paid stipend during their training as per the rules of Railway Board.
- Their training will be terminated after the completion of their apprenticeship.
Selection Process for KMRC Recruitment 2024
- Candidates' average percentage marks in both Matriculation (with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks) and ITI examination are considered, with equal weightage given to both, as per Railway Establishment Rule 201/2017.
- The average percentage is calculated by combining the marks obtained in both Matriculation and ITI examinations.
- Equal importance is given to the marks obtained in Matriculation and ITI examinations when calculating the average percentage for candidates.
How to Apply for SECR Recruitment 2024
- Online applications are invited from the eligible candidates for engagement as Trade Apprentices under Apprentices Act-1961 in Raipur Division
- The online application completed in all respect, can be submitted through online from 02.04.2024 up to 01.05.2024 (24.00 Hrs). No physical copy of the application is required to be sent to Raipur division or Wagon Repair shop/ Raipur.
