South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Coal India Limited (CIL), operates 66 mines across Chhattisgarh (39) and Madhya Pradesh (27), comprising 47 underground and 19 opencast mines. Additionally, SECL runs the Dankuni Coal Complex in West Bengal.
The company is administratively divided into 13 areas within three coalfields: Central India, Korba, and Mand-Raigarh. With an authorized capital of Rs. 1,000 crore and a paid-up capital of Rs. 668.06 crore, SECL employs 39,850 people. The Chairman and Managing Director (CMD), who oversees the company's operations, is accountable to the Board of Directors, CIL, and the Government of India. Candidates for CMD must be over 45 years old, hold a relevant degree, and have at least five years of experience in key functions within a large organization.

Qualifications Details for SECL Recruitment 2024
- The applicant should be an Engineering graduate/ Chartered Accountant/ Cost Accountant/ Post Graduate/ Graduate with MBA/ PGDIM from a leading institute.
- The applicant should possess cumulative experience/ exposure for at least 5 years during the last 10 years in Finance/ Business Development/ Productions/ Operations/ Marketing/ Project Management in a large organization of repute. Experience in the Coal/ Mining sector is desirable experience.
Age Limit for SECL Recruitment 2024
The age of superannuation is set at 60 years. For internal candidates, the minimum residual service required at the time of vacancy concerning the superannuation date is 2 years, with a maximum of 45 years. For external candidates, the minimum residual service needed is 3 years, also with a maximum of 45 years.
