SAIL's Director of Finance oversees financial policies and implementation, reporting to the Chairman. Qualifications Details for SAIL Recruitment 2024
- The applicant should be a Chartered Accountant or Cost Accountant or a full time MBA/PGDM course with specialization in Finance with good academic record from a recognized University/Institution. Preference would be given to Chartered Accountant.
- Officers of Organized Group ‘A’ Accounts Services [i.e. Indian Audit and Accounts Service, Indian Defence Accounts Service, Indian Railway Accounts Service, Indian Civil Accounts Service, Indian P&T Accounts & Finance Service and Indian Cost Accounts Service] working in the appropriate level are exempted from these educational qualifications.
- Further, applicants from the Central Govt./Armed Forces of the Union/All India Services, will also be exempted from the educational qualifications as per above provided the applicants have ‘the relevant experience’ as mentioned.
- In respect of applicants from Organized Group ‘A’ Accounts Services/Central Government/Armed Forces of the Union/All India Services, Chartered Accountant/Cost Accountant/MBA/PGDM will be a desirable educational qualification.
Age Limit for SAIL Recruitment 2024
The superannuation age for the Director (Finance) position is set at 60 years. Internal candidates must have a minimum of 45 years of age and a residual service of at least 2 years concerning the date of vacancy relative to the superannuation date. External candidates should also have a minimum age of 45 years but require a residual service of 3 years from the date of vacancy in relation to the superannuation date.
Pay Scale for SAIL Recruitment 2024
The pay scale for the Director (Finance) position is as follows:
- Rs. 180,000 – 340,000 (IDA) for the current designation.
- Rs. 7,250-8,250 (IDA) prior to January 1, 1992.
- Rs. 9,500-11,500 (IDA) after January 1, 1992.
- Rs. 20,500-26,500 (IDA) after January 1, 1997.
- Rs. 51,300-73,000 (IDA) after January 1, 2007.
- Rs. 120,000-280,000 (IDA) after January 1, 2017.
- Rs. 18,400-22,400 (CDA) prior to January 1, 1996 (pre-revised).
- Rs. 37,400-67,000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 10,000 (CDA) after January 1, 2006.
- Rs. 144,200-218,200 (Level 14) (CDA) after January 1, 2016.
