he Sports Authority of India (SAI), an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, is seeking applications from eligible and qualified Indian citizens for the position of Lead (Research) at its Head Office located in Jawaharlal Nehru Sports Complex, Lodhi Road, New Delhi. There are three vacancies available, with the possibility of extension up to five years based on performance.
While the number of vacancies is indicative, SAI reserves the right to appoint Lead (Research) based on actual workload, with a waitlist panel maintained for deployment throughout India. Qualifications Details for SAI Recruitment 2024
- Persons having Master's Degree (2 years)/ Master's Degree (1 year) from any foreign University in relevant subject (Sports Management) or technical qualifications like B. Tech or MBA or equivalent qualifications in relevant filed
- with minimum l year of experience in relevant field as per job description or Bachelor's degree with Minimum 3 years of experience in relevant field as per job description.
- 1 Year Post Graduate Diploma specialization in Sports Management/ Sport Science/ Performance Analysis/ Statistics or equivalent degree from a recognized university.
- Experience in data science methods such as inferential statistics, Regression Analysis,classification, etc.
- Knowledge of software like MS Office, Excel, Power Point, research and data visualizationtools like Tableu, etc.
- Understanding of results and competition formats in Olympic sports. Candidates who have participated in nationals and international level in Olympic Sports Disciplines would be given preference.
- Applicants with research experience, published papers and post qualification experience in the relevant field would be preferred.
Pay Scale for SAI Recruitment 2024
- Initial remuneration for the Lead (Research) position in SAI Recruitment 2024 is fixed at Rs. 60,000/-
- Eligible for annual increments of up to 7% based on the recommendation of reporting officer and reviewing committee.
- Maximum salary after increments can reach up to Rs. 80,000/- for the Lead (Research) position, after which no further increments will be provided.
Tenure And Conditions for SAI Recruitment 2024
- The contractual engagement will be initially for a period of two years which could be extended by one year at a time up to a maximum tenure of five years i.e., 2+1+1+1 years. The contract can be terminated by giving a 30 days' Notice period by either party, i.e. SAI or the employee. In cases of extreme impropriety by the employee, the contract will be terminated immediately without prior notice.
Selection Process for SAI Recruitment 2024
- The Eligible Candidates As Per The Above-mentioned Criteria Will Be Used For Shortlisting The Candidates For The Interview
- The Final Merit Will Be Based On The Score Obtained In The Interview Only.
- The interview will be of 100 marks.
- The candidates scoring at least 50 marks in the interview shall only be considered for issue of offer of appointment to this post.
- The shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview and assessed as follows.
