The Railway Recruitment Cell Western Railway (RRC WR) has released the 2024 notification for Group C and Group D vacancies, offering 64 posts. Eligible candidates must be between 18 and 25 years old as of January 1, 2025, with educational qualifications ranging from Matriculation to Graduate degrees, depending on the specific post.
The application fee is Rs. 500, with a refund of Rs. 400 for eligible candidates who appear in the trial. For candidates from specific categories like SC/ST, Ex-Servicemen, Persons with Disabilities, Women, Minorities, and Economically Backward Classes, the fee is Rs. 250, which is fully refundable upon meeting eligibility criteria and attending the trial. Original documents, such as proof of date of birth, educational qualifications, and sports achievements, must be presented during the trial. Qualifications Details for RRC WR Recruitment 2024
- Graduate in any discipline from a recognized University.
- Passed 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent examination. Educational Qualification must be from a Recognized Institution.
- Pass Matriculation from recognized Board Plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship.
- Passed Matriculation from recognized Board plus ITI approved by NCVT/SCVT OR Passed Matriculation from recognized Board plus Diploma approved by Recognized Institution
- Passed 10thor its equivalent examination.

Age Limit for RRC WR Recruitment 2024
- Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years as on 01/01/2025.
- Candidates born between 02/01/2000 and 01/01/2007 (both days inclusive) should only apply.
Application Fee for RRC WR Recruitment 2024
| For all candidates except those mentioned in sub-Para | Rs. 500/- (Rs. Five Hundred Only), with a provision of refunding Rs 400/- (Rs Four Hundred Only) to those who are found eligible as per notification and actually appeared in the Trial, after deducting bank charges. |

Important Instructions for RRC WR Recruitment 2024
- The candidates should ensure that they fulfill all eligibility criteria prescribed for the post. Eligibility of the candidates for the post notified in this notification would be decided on the basis of the information furnished by them in the ONLINE application.
- If at any stage of recruitment or thereafter, it is found that any information furnished by the candidate in his/her application is false/incorrect or the candidate has suppressed any relevant information or the candidate otherwise does not satisfy the eligibility criteria for the post(s), his/her candidature will be cancelled forthwith.
- Production of original documents of Date of birth, Educational Qualification and Sports Achievement etc on the day of Trial is mandatory without which they will not be allowed to appear in the Trial.
- Certificates in languages other than English or Hindi should be accompanied by an attested translation in English/Hindi. Photocopy of all documents should be self attested.
- No TA/DA /Accommodation will be given for appearing in the selection trials. Applicants will have to bring their own kit and also four passport size photographs.
- They may also be required to stay during the selection trials for 2-3 days, for which they have to make their own arrangements.
- Candidates should be in readiness to appear for the trials etc at short notice after the last date for submission of application is over. Selected candidates will be posted anywhere on Western Railway.
- Ordinarily, a Railway servant shall be employed throughout his service on the Railway or Railway establishment to which he / she is posted on first appointment and shall have no claim as of right for transfer to another Railway or another establishment.
- In the exigencies of service, however, it shall be open to the Competent Authority to transfer the Railway servant to any other department or division / unit or Railway or Railway establishment including a project in or out of India.
- Selected candidates will have to undergo training wherever training is prescribed for the post. Selected male candidates who are finally appointed are liable for active service in Railway Engineers Unit of Territorial Army.
General Conditions for RRC WR Recruitment 2024
- Canvassing in any form shall disqualify the candidate.
- Candidates are required produce original caste certificates in proper Proforma from the appropriate authority in the Central Government format at the time of selection Trial, failing which he/she may be disqualified.
- Caste Certificate in cases of SC/ST/OBC /EWS Candidates issued by the Competent Authority not below the rank of Tehsildar should be uploaded at the time of online application.
- OBC candidates shall also upload OBC Non-Creamy-Layer Certificate in Central Government format issued on or after 01/04/2024 by the Competent Authority at the time of online application.
- Certificates should contain Caste, Date of Issue etc and bear the Seal of the Issuing Authority.
- Format of caste certificate for SC/ST candidates is enclosed as annexure ‘C’ and for OBC as annexure “D”.
- Format of Income certificate for EBC is enclosed as Annexure ‘B’ and format of EWS is enclosed as Annexure ‘F’.
Selection Process for RRC WR Recruitment 2024
- All eligible candidates will be called for trial and after trial, only the FIT candidates (securing 25 or more, out of 40 marks for Game skill, physical fitness and coach’s observations during trial) shall be assessed for next stage of recruitment.
- Candidates declared NOT FIT by the Trial Committee will not be assessed further by the Recruitment Committee.
