Application Fee for RRB Recruitment 2024

• Candidates applying for the examination are required to pay a fee of ₹500, with ₹400 refunded after deducting bank charges if they appear for the first stage CBT. For candidates belonging to SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, Female, Transgender, Minorities, or Economically Backward Class (EBC), the fee is ₹250, with a refund of the entire amount minus bank charges upon appearing in the first stage CBT.
• It's important to note that EBC should not be confused with OBC or EWS. The fee structure is designed to provide partial refunds to encourage participation in the examination.

Selection Process for RRB Recruitment 2024

• Candidates must apply online through the official RRB websites, choosing only one RRB for their application. The recruitment process includes a first stage CBT (90 minutes, 100 questions) covering Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, and General Science, followed by a second stage CBT (120 minutes, 150 questions) with additional focus on Physics, Chemistry, Computers, Environment, and Technical Abilities.
• Shortlisting for the second stage is based on normalized scores from the first stage. Minimum qualifying marks vary by category, with potential relaxation for PwBD candidates. Information on exam schedules and venues will be provided via RRB websites, SMS, and email.

They must first create an account using a valid mobile number and email ID, which cannot be changed later. If an account was created for previous CENs in 2024, the same credentials should be used.
• Applications can only be submitted online through the official RRB websites. PwBD candidates eligible for a scribe must provide scribe details during the application process. Before applying, candidates should have scanned copies of their recent photograph, signature, and relevant documents ready.
• The Common Services Centre (CSC) scheme can assist with the online application process, especially for candidates from rural areas. The application window opens on 30th July 2024 and closes on 29th August 2024, with a modification window available from 30th August to 8th September 2024. Changes to the account details or chosen RRB will not be allowed during the modification period.
