RIMS Imphal has announced recruitment for the position of Project Research Scientist, with one vacancy available. The salary offered for the position is Rs. 56,000/- per month plus House Rent Allowance (HRA). Applicants must be no older than 38 years and possess a Master's degree (1st Class) in Microbiology, Life Science, or Biotechnology, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in research, including at least 1 year in hospital-based studies.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in molecular biology, immunohistochemistry, histology, blood sampling, and familiarity with computer applications for data management. Responsibilities include patient enrollment, clinical recordkeeping, follow-up, sample collection, serology tests, radiology studies, and data maintenance.

Qualification For RIMS Imphal Recruitment 2024

• Master (1st Class) in Microbiology/Life Science/Biotechnology with minimum 5 years experience in research field with minimum 1 year experience in hospital-based study having knowledge of handling clinical samples.
• Preference will be given to an experience person having knowledge of molecular biology work, Immunohistochemistry, histology, blood sampling and who have already worked in hospital-based study and person with ability to use computer (Internet, Power point, Microsoft work, excel and SPSS software) for proper maintaining of data collection.
• Assess eligibility for enrollment into the cohort and consent
• Patient recruitment by taking questionnaire after taking informed consent
• Taking clinical records of recruited patients
• Follow up for recruited patients
• Blood sample collection, Gallstone and histology sample collection after surgery
• Performing serology tests
• Radiology study
• Characterization of Gallstone and immunohistochemistry study

• A "Walk-in-interview" for recruitment of the following post for the ICMR Project "INDIAN Asymptomatic Gallstones: Natural Course and their Predictors (INDIASTONE STUDY)" RIMS, Imphal, funded by ICMR under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India in the Department of Medicine, RIMS, Imphal, on contractual basis, will be held on Monday, the 27th May, 2024 at 11 am in the Office Chamber of Director RIMS, Imphal.
