The Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (RGCB), based in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, is seeking applications from qualified Indian citizens for the position of Junior Research Fellow for a DST SERB project led by Dr. Rakesh Singh Laishram.
The project, titled “Cleavage site stuttering/heterogeneity at the pre-mRNA 3’ end in gene expression and its physiological implications,” requires candidates with an MSc in life sciences, biotechnology, or biochemistry, along with NET/GATE qualification. Desirable qualifications include experience in molecular/cellular biology techniques and animal handling.
Applicants should be below 26 years of age as of June 01, 2024, with age relaxation as per Government norms. The selected candidate will receive a monthly emolument of ₹37,000 plus 16% HRA. The position is initially for one year, extendable based on performance, and applications must be submitted online by June 01, 2024.
