The Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (RGCB) has released a notification for the recruitment of one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for a project titled "Cryo-EM structure of a plant nucleoplasmin and its complex with nucleosome." The position is based in Thiruvananthapuram.
Candidates must possess a first-class Post Graduate Degree in any branch of Life Sciences and meet the eligibility criteria for a JRF position as per the DST OM No. DST/PCPM/Z-06/2022, dated 26.06.2023. Additionally, candidates with knowledge and experience in molecular biology, protein chemistry, biophysics, and structural biology will be preferred.
The salary for the JRF position is Rs. 37,000 per month, along with an 18% House Rent Allowance (HRA). Position, Vacancy for RGCB Recruitment 2024
Applications are invited from suitable candidates (Indian Citizens) for one position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF), in the DBT project entitled, "Cryo-EM structure of a plant nucleoplasmin and its complex with nucleosome," in the laboratory of Dr. Dileep Vasudevan at Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology, Thiruvananthapuram.

Qualification for RGCB Recruitment 2024
- The candidate must have a first-class Post Graduate Degree in any branch of Life Sciences.
- The candidate should have met the eligibility criteria for a JRF position as per the DST OM No. DST/PCPM/Z-06/2022, dated 26.06.2023. (i.e., qualified in CSIR-UGC NET, including lectureship or GATE, or selected for a postgraduate degree program through a National level examination conducted by Central Government Departments or their agencies such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER, etc.)
- Candidates with decent knowledge and some prior research experience in one or more of the areas, such as molecular biology, protein chemistry, biophysics, and structural biology, will be preferred.
