RGCB has announced vacancies for Junior Research Fellow positions in a SERB-DST funded research project titled "Deciphering the role of novel reticulocyte surface proteins in Plasmodium vivax," under the supervision of Dr. Rajesh Chandramohanadas at Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology, Thiruvananthapuram.
There are two positions available, with the application deadline set for April 15, 2024. Candidates must possess a first-class Post Graduate Degree in any branch of life sciences and should have qualified CSIR-UGC NET, DBT-BET, GATE, etc. Additionally, they should have knowledge and experience in areas such as molecular biology, cell biology, or protein biochemistry, with prior experience in research involving cell culture, infectious agents, and protein expression being desirable.
The age limit is below 26 years as of April 15, 2024, with age relaxation as per Government of India norms. The selected candidates will receive a salary of ₹31,000/- plus 16% HRA per month. The selection process will include shortlisting based on eligibility criteria, followed by an online selection interview.

- The candidate must have a first class Post Graduate Degree in any branch of life sciences.

- The candidate must have a decent knowledge and experience in one or more of the research areas such as molecular biology, cell biology or protein biochemistry.
