The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released a notification for the recruitment of pharmacists for its dispensaries located at the RBI Staff Quarters in Lucknow. Eligible candidates with a matriculation certificate, a Diploma or Degree in Pharmacy with at least 50% marks, and a valid registration certificate from the Uttar Pradesh Pharmacy Council are invited to apply.
Candidates should have a minimum of two years of experience as a pharmacist, with preference given to those who have worked with Public Sector Banks (PSBs), Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), or government organizations. The role offers a remuneration of Rs. 400 per hour, and the selection will be based on a walk-in interview scheduled for August 30, 2024.
Empanelled candidates will be engaged on a need basis, and this selection does not guarantee regular or permanent employment with the RBI. The validity of the empanelment will be 240 days from the date of approval by the Competent Authority.
Selected candidates will be responsible for managing the stock of medicines and operating the computerized dispensary package, among other duties. They are expected to maintain high standards of integrity and confidentiality in their service. The RBI reserves the right to discontinue the services of empanelled candidates at any time without prior notice.

Qualifications Details for RBI Recruitment 2024
- Matriculation or its equivalent examination.
- A Diploma/Degree in Pharmacy from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks.
- Registration certificate from UP Pharmacy Council
- Basic working knowledge of computers.
- Minimum experience of 2 years as a pharmacist. Experience with PSBs/PSUs/Government Organizations will be given preference.
Pay Scale for RBI Recruitment 2024
- The positions are for dispensaries situated at the Reserve Bank of India Staff Quarters, Sector J Aliganj, Lucknow, 226024, with working hours from 07:00 am to 12:00 pm.
- The remuneration for the role is Rs. 400 per hour.

Walk-in Details for RBI Recruitment 2024
- Eligible candidates may come with their applications in the prescribed format as at along with original documents and two sets photocopies of certificates of Professional/Academic/Other qualifications and age proof on the day of the walk-in-interview.
- Procedure for Empanelment
- The selection to the Panel will be made through walk-in-interview of eligible candidates.
- Candidates will be selected for empanelment to the panel on the basis of overall educational qualifications (PG/Degree/Diploma), distance of residence from Reserve Bank Staff Quarters Sector J Aliganj 226024 experience with PSBs/PSUs/Government organization etc. The decision of the Bank in this regard will be final and binding.
- Applicants selected for empanelment after the walk-in-interview will be subject to medical examination and document verification process before empanelment for engagement as Pharmacist.
- The selected applicant/s has/have to sign a contract with the Bank for empanelment of pharmacists on contract basis with fixed hourly remuneration subject to acceptance of Terms and Conditions of empanelment as per Annex-I and Code of Conduct as per.
- The Bank reserves the right to cancel the above walk-in-interview without assigning any reason thereof. Candidates may note that no TA/HA & any other allowances will be paid for attending the walk-in-interview..
Terms and Conditions for RBI Recruitment 2024
- Empanelled candidates to be engaged as Pharmacist purely on need basis. Mere selection for empanelment doesn't confer any right on candidates for day to-day engagement.
- The validity period of empanelment of candidates will 240 days from the date of approval of empanelled list by the Competent Authority.
- Empanelled candidates, if engaged as Pharmacist will be paid a fixed remuneration at the rate of Rs.400/- per hour and will not be entitled to any pay, allowance or any other perks/facilities.
- The Bank reserves the right to stop utilizing the services of empanelled candidates at any time with a short notice or assigning any reasons thereof.
- Empanelled candidates, if engaged, are required to comply with and obey all orders and directions, which may from time to time be issued by any employee of the Bank under whose jurisdiction, superintendence and control the Pharmacist(s) will be placed.
- Empanelled candidates, if engaged as Pharmacist, are required to maintain the record of stock of drugs and injection etc. in the prescribed forms and consumption of special drugs/medicines supplied to patients in the Abstract/Stock Registers on a daily basis to arrive at the closing stock in the computerized dispensary package.
- Empanelled candidates, if engaged as Pharmacist are required to operate the computerized dispensary package and maintain the stock of medicines in the existing package.
- Empanelled candidates should maintain strict secrecy regarding the Bank's affairs and serve the Bank honestly and with high integrity.
- Any deviation / slippage in respect of services to be rendered by he/she as specified above will be viewed seriously by the Bank.
- The service rendered by the empanelled Pharmacist/s will not confer any right for a temporary or permanent post in the Bank's service.
- Empanelled candidates will not be treated as a regular employee of the Bank and will not be entitled to any facilities admissible to the regular employees of the Bank.
- Bank will have full discretion on deployment of Pharmacist in any of its dispensaries.
