The Reserve Bank of India is seeking applications for the position of Bank Medical Consultant (Reserved for Other Backward Class (OBC) Category) on a contract basis, with fixed hourly remuneration. The position is based at the Reserve Bank of India, Shimla Regional Office premises.
Candidates must have an MBBS degree in allopathic medicine from a university recognized by the National Medical Council and at least 2 years of experience as a Registered Medical Practitioner in a hospital or clinic. Qualification for RBI Recruitment 2024
- The applicant must hold an MBBS degree from a university recognized by the Medical Council of India, in the allopathic system of medicine.
- The applicant should have at least 2 years of experience practicing medicine in a hospital or clinic as a Registered Medical Practitioner.
- The applicant’s dispensary or residence should be located within a 3-5 km radius of the Bank’s dispensary at the Reserve Bank of India, Main Market Kasumpti, Shimla-171009.
Pay Scale for RBI Recruitment 2024
The contract will be for a period of three years, and there will be no renewal of the engagement upon completion of the contract term.
The remuneration for the Bank’s Medical Consultant on a contract basis will be fixed for the entire contract period, based on actual duty hours performed, and will be all-inclusive:
i. Rs. 1,000 per hour for the full three-year duration of the contract.
ii. A portion of Rs. 1,000 per month from the total monthly remuneration may be designated as conveyance expenses.
iii. Mobile charges will be reimbursed at a rate of Rs. 1,000 per month.
Selection Procedure for RBI Recruitment 2024
- The Bank will conduct interviews for the candidates. It reserves the right to raise the minimum eligibility standards and other criteria to limit the number of candidates invited for the interview.
- The Bank’s decision in this regard will be final. Meeting the eligibility criteria does not guarantee an invitation to the interview. The Bank will not engage in correspondence with applicants who are not selected for an interview.
- Shortlisted candidates will undergo medical tests and document verification as per prescribed norms before final engagement as Bank’s Medical Consultant.
- The cost of these medical tests will be the responsibility of the candidate, and the Bank will not provide any reimbursement for these expenses.
- The appointment of the selected candidate will be subject to medical fitness and acceptance of the Terms and Conditions of the Contract/Engagement as outlined in and adherence to the Code of Conduct as specified
