Qualifications Details for Press Council of India Recruitment 2024
The Press Council of India is seeking candidates for the position of Stenographer Grade D. Applicants must have successfully completed the 12th Standard or an equivalent qualification from a recognized Board or University. However, the Competent Authority has the discretion to relax these qualifications for candidates who are otherwise well-qualified. There is one vacancy available for this post.
Age Limit for Press Council of India Recruitment 2024
Stenographer Grade 'D': 18 to 27 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.Relaxations are permissible as per the extant provisions of Government of India. The crucial date of age limit is reckoned with reference to the closing date of application. Candidates should note that the Date of Birth as recorded in the Matriculation/Secondary Examination certificate or an equivalent certificate only, will be accepted by the Council for determining the Age eligibility and no subsequent request for its change will be considered or granted.

Selection Process for Press Council of India Recruitment 2024
The examination will consist of 200 objective type multiple choice questions, divided into three parts: General Intelligence and Reasoning (50 questions), General Awareness (50 questions), and English Language & Comprehension (100 questions). The total duration of the exam will be 2 hours.
The question paper will be available in both English and Hindi. There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer, so candidates are advised to answer carefully. Please note that there will be no provision for re-evaluation or re-checking of the examination, and no correspondence regarding this matter will be entertained.

- Candidates serving Government/Public Sector Undertaking are required to send their applications through proper channel.
- Applications which do not meet the criteria given in the advertisement and/or incomplete applications are liable to summarily rejected.
- The eligible and interested persons are required to submit their application in the attached proforma alongwith self-attested copies of the certificates, date of birth, experience, etc. to the Secretary, Press Council of India, Soochna Bhawan, 8 CGO Complex, Lodhi Road, New Delhi-110 003 within 45 days of publishing the advertisement in the Employment News. Only such applications as are accompanied by the requisite proforma will be considered.
