Position, Vacancy for POWERGRID Recruitment 2024
Details of number of vacancies and reservation shall be indicated in the notification to be published on our website before commencement of Online Registration. However, reservation shall be provided to OBC(NCL)/ EWS/ SC/ ST/ PwBD candidates depending on the number of vacancies and as per Govt. of India Directives.
Qualification for POWERGRID Recruitment 2024
Full Time B.E./ B.Tech/ B.Sc (Engg.) from recognized University/ Institute. Final Year / Semester students who expect their final results by 14.08.2025 are also eligible to apply, provided they have obtained minimum 60% marks or equivalent CGPA in aggregate of all semesters/years up to pre-final examination. In case of selection, their candidature shall be subject to their securing minimum 60% marks in essential qualification. Such candidates need to mention their marks up to pre-final examination while filling up the online application form for POWERGRID.
Pay Scale for POWERGRID Recruitment 2024
- The Corporation offers a very attractive pay package and is one of the best in the Industry. Selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of Rs.40,000/- -3%- 1,40,000(IDA) during the one-year training period. They shall be paid Basic Pay of Rs. 40,000/- along with IDA, HRA and Perks @12% of basic pay during training period.
- On successful completion of training, the candidates will be absorbed as Engineer in E2 scale - Rs. 50,000/- 3%- 1,60,000/- (IDA).
- On regularization, Compensation package includes Basic Pay, Dearness Allowance, Perquisites and Allowance as per cafeteria approach, Performance Related Pay, Company Leased Accommodation /
- Company Quarters or HRA, Reimbursement of monthly conveyance expenditure, digital services reimbursement, uniform, laptop facility, PF, Gratuity, Pension & Leave encashment, Group Insurance, Group Personal Accident Insurance, etc.

You are required to login to your candidate login section and then deposit nonrefundable application fees of Rs. 500/- through online mode only. Selection Procedure for POWERGRID Recruitment 2024
- The Selection Process consists of marks obtained (out of 100) in the corresponding paper of GATE 2025, Group Discussion & Personal Interview.
- Eligible candidates will have to appear for the corresponding paper of GATE 2025, i.e. Electrical Engineering (EE) / Electronics and Communication (EC) / Civil Engineering (CE)/ Computer Science Engineering (CS).
- Candidates qualified in corresponding paper of GATE 2025 shall only be eligible to be considered for the next stage of selection. Qualifying marks in GATE 2025 shall be as decided by GATE 2025 conducting authority.
- Qualified candidates shall be short-listed category-wise for Group Discussion & Personal Interview based on their normalized marks out of 100 in GATE 2025, in the corresponding paper.
- Candidates shall have the option of appearing in the GD/Interview in Hindi or English.
- Candidates shall obtain information about their status through their login at the POWERGRID Online Application System. Shortlisted candidates shall be able to download their interview call letter and other relevant documents through the candidate login.
- Candidates shortlisted for the Group Discussion and Interview shall be required to bring the documents as mentioned in their interview call letter.
