Applications are being sought for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position in an ICMR-funded project led by Dr. Sant Ram, Associate Professor at the Department of Biochemistry, PGIMER, Chandigarh. The project focuses on investigating the 196 G/A polymorphism in the BDNF gene and its association with serum BDNF levels, nutritional markers, inflammatory markers, and oxidative status concerning the treatment response of major depressive disorder in North Indian patients.
The JRF role requires a postgraduate degree in basic life sciences (such as Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, or Human Genetics) along with national eligibility tests such as CSIR/UGC/DST/DBT/ICMR/GATE.
Desirable qualifications include 1-2 years of wet lab experience in handling blood and tissue samples and molecular techniques. Qualifications Details for PGIMER Recruitment 2024
Post Graduate degree in Basic life sciences (Biochemistry, Biotechnology, microbiology, human genetics etc.) along with National Eligibility tests- CSIR/UGC/ DST/ DBT/ ICMR/GATE etc. At least I-2 year of wet lab experience in handling blood and tissue samples, molecular techniques etc. Age limit: As per ICMR rule
Pay Scale for PGIMER Recruitment 2024
Applications are requested for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position on a contractual basis for an ICMR-funded project titled "Study of 196 GI A polymorphism in BDNF gene and association of serum level of BDNF with nutritional marker, inflammatory marker and oxidative status with response to treatment of major depressive disorder in North Indian patients," led by Dr. Sant Ram, Associate Professor at the Department of Biochemistry, PGIMER, Chandigarh.
