The Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER) is seeking applications for the position of Junior Consultant (Epidemiology) under the project "HIV Sentinel Surveillance" funded by the National AIDS Control Organization (NACO), New Delhi.
The role requires candidates with an MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BHMS or similar degree, along with a post-graduation degree in public health, community medicine, epidemiology, or related fields, with a minimum of 3 years of experience. Responsibilities include supporting the implementation of surveillance and epidemiology activities as per the MoU between NACO and the institute.
The selected candidate will receive a fixed monthly emolument of Rs. 70,000. The list of eligible candidates and interview dates will be published on the PGIMER website by 7th June 2024.

Position, Vacancy for PGIMER Recruitment 2024
Regional Institute for HIV Sentinel Surveillance: Department of Community Medicine & School of Public Health, PGIMER, Chandigarh.
Applications are invited for the below mentioned post under project entitled "HIV Sentine Surveillance" funded by National AIDS Control Organization (NACO), New Delhi on a contractual basis.

Qualification for PGIMER Recruitment 2024
Essential Qualification:
- MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BHMS or similar degree with post-graduation degree in public health/Community Medicine/Epidemiology/Health Care Management/Health Administration/clinical Research/Population sciences/any other similar post-graduation with minimum 3 years of experience.
Job Responsibilities:
- The epidemiologist will be under the administrative control of Institute which has recruited him her.
- On technical aspects, the epidemiologist will work under the direct guidance of the NACO*s SI -Surveillance & Epidemiology and in consultation with the Focal persons representing the national/regional institute (surveillance & Epidemiology) concerned.
- The incumbent will support the implementation the Surveillance and Epidemiology activates as defined under the MoU between the NACO and the institute concerned.
- This shall include, but not limited to, undertaking, and supporting epidemiological investigations, verbal autopsy, supportive supervision, capacity building, periodic review etc. in the facility /community field settings.
