Panjab University announces recruitment for two Guest Faculty positions in French with a salary of up to Rs. 50,000 per month. Applicants must hold an M.A. in French with at least 55% marks (50% for reserved categories) and must have qualified UGC NET or possess a Ph.D. in the relevant subject.
The maximum age limit for applicants is 70 years, and superannuated teachers may also apply subject to approval. Interested candidates should submit their applications, including all required documents, by April 22, 2024, either by post or email to the Department office.

Qualification for Panjab University Recruitment 2024
- M.A. in French with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/Physically & Visually Handicapped) or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed at the Master's degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University.
- UGC NET Ph.D. in the relevant subject (French)
- Candidates, who have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University
- Grants Commission (Minimum standard and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree)
- Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET.
Salary for Panjab University Recruitment 2024
- The above assignment will be on lecture basis with an honorarium of Rs. 1500/- per lecture with an upper limit of Rs. 50,000/- per month.
- The candidate shall have to give an undertaking that he / she will not draw any fellowship/ stipend or any financial assistance from any agency till he / she is teaching in the Department of Panjab University, Chandigarh.
Age Limit for Panjab University Recruitment 2024
- The superannuated teachers may also be considered for engagement as Guest Faculty subject to a maximum age limit of 70 years and approval of the competent authority.
How to Apply for Panjab University Recruitment 2024
- Applications are invited for two (02) posts of Guest Faculty in French.
- Application complete in all respects, along with a recent passport size photograph, copies of degrees, certificates of merit, awards (scholarships / fellowships), lists of publications and other supporting documents must reach the Department office by 22nd April, 2024 before 5:00 PM by post or by email ([email protected])
