Qualification for OPSC Recruitment 2024
A candidate must possess a post-graduate degree in Social Work and a Master of Philosophy in Psychiatric Social Work obtained after completion of a full time course of 02 years which includes supervised clinical training from any University recognised by the University Grants Commission established under the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or such recognised qualifications, as may be prescribed.
Pay Scale for OPSC Recruitment 2024
Recruitment to 13 (Thirteen) posts of Psychiatric Social Worker in 'Group- B' of State Service for Drug-De- addiction Centres (DAC), under the Health & Family Welfare Department in the scale of pay of Rs. 44,600/- in Level-10, Cell-01 of Pay Matrix of ORSP Rules, 2017 with usual dearness and other allowances as may be sanctioned by the Government of Odisha from time to time.
Place of Posting for OPSC Recruitment 2024
The place of posting for OPSC Recruitment 2024, specifically for the position of Psychiatric Social Worker, will be either Cuttack or Bhubaneswar. The written examination for this post will take place in one of these locations. The examination schedule will be notified well in advance to provide candidates with ample time for preparation.
Age Limit for OPSC Recruitment 2024
- A candidate must have attained the age of 21 (twenty-one) years and must not be above the age of 38 (thirty-eight) years on the 1» day of January 2024 i.e. he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd January 1986 and not later than 1st January 2003.
- The upper age limit prescribed above shall be relax-able by 5 (five) years for candidates belonging to the categories of Socially & Educationally Backward Classes (S.E.B.C), Scheduled Castes (S.C.), Scheduled Tribes (S.T.), Women & Ex-Servicemen and by 10(ten) years for Persons With Disabilities category, whose permanent disability is 40% or more.
Application fees for OPSC Recruitment 2024
For OPSC Recruitment 2024, the application fees have been exempted for all categories of candidates as per the notification issued by the GA & PG Department, specifically Notification No. 9897/Gen., dated 11.04.2022. This exemption applies to candidates from all categories, eliminating the need for any examination fee payment.
Selection Procedure for OPSC Recruitment 2024
- The selection of candidates for recruitment to the posts of Psychiatric Social Worker will be made on the basis of a Written Examination (Objective Type MCQ Pattern) of 90 marks and Interview (Viva Voce Test) of 10 marks.
- Written Examination(Objective Type MCQ Pattern): The written examination shall be of objective type of MCQ pattern and shall carry 90 marks.
- The total no. of questions shall be 90 and each question shall carry 01 mark. There shall be negative marking with a deduction of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.
- The duration of examination shall be one and half hour. Interview (Viva Voce Test): The Interview shall be of 10 (ten) marks.
