The National Research Centre for Banana (NRCB) in Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, is inviting applications for 11 Apprentice posts. The recruitment is open for both Graduate and Technician Apprentices, with eligible candidates required to have a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.), Bachelor of Computer Applications (B.C.A.), or a Diploma in specified fields obtained between 2020 and 2024. Applicants must be registered on the MHRD NATS Portal, and those who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training are ineligible. Graduate Apprentices will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 9,000, while Technician Apprentices will receive Rs. 8,000. Qualifications Details for NRCB Recruitment 2024
- Bachelor of Science / B.C.A. / Diploma passed (in the years 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 only) and who have registered in MHRD NATS Portal (www.mhrdnats.gov.in), which is mandatory.
- Candidates who have previously undergone Apprenticeship or presently undergoing Apprenticeship Training or presently in employment elsewhere being registered for Apprenticeship Training under Apprentices (Amendment) Act 1973, are not eligible to apply.
Category - I Graduate Apprentices:
- A Degree in Chemistry granted by statutory University.
- A Degree in Biotechnology granted by statutory University.
- A Degree in Computer Science granted by statutory University.
- A Degree in Computer Application granted by statutory University
Category-II Technician (Diploma) Apprentices:
- A Diploma in Agriculture / Horticulture granted by statutory University.
- A Diploma in Computer Science / Computer course by statutory University
Age Limit for NRCB Recruitment 2024
- The age limit for participation in the apprenticeship program will be strictly adhered to in accordance with the rules and regulations established by the governing body for apprenticeships.

Pay Scale for NRCB Recruitment 2024
- Graduate apprentices will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 9,000 for specific fields of study, including B.Sc. (Chemistry), B.Sc. (Biotechnology), B.C.A., and B.Sc. (Computer Science).
- Meanwhile, technician apprentices with a diploma in relevant fields will be provided with a monthly stipend of Rs. 8,000.
- This applies to those who hold a Diploma in Computer Science or any computer-related course, as well as a Diploma in Agriculture or Horticulture.

Selection Process for NRCB Recruitment 2024
- Engagement of Graduate and Technician Apprentices will be purely made on merit basis of aggregate marks obtained by the candidates in Graduate and Diploma respectively.
- Preference will be given to the children of VPA Employees i.e. the children of deceased employees/medically invalidated & superannuated employees / serving employees respectively.
- The final rank list would be prepared according to categories General / SC/ST/ OBC/after certificate verification comprising of ADT BOAT (SR) and Officials ICAR-NRC for Banana, Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu.
How to Apply for NRCB Recruitment 2024
- Last date for submission of application through Online Date: 15.09.2024
- To apply through the National Web Portal, students should follow these steps, based on their enrollment status.
- For students already enrolled in the National Web Portal, they need to log in after their enrollment has been verified by BOAT (SR).
- For those who have not yet enrolled, they should visit the website www.mhrdnats.gov.in and click on "Enroll" to complete the application form.
- After submission, a unique enrollment number will be generated for each student. Please wait for at least one day for the enrollment verification and approval process to complete.
- Once the enrollment is verified, the student should log in to the portal, click on the "Establishment Request Menu," and select "Find Establishment."
- They should then search for "ICAR National Research Centre For Banana Authority," and click "apply."
- The student will need to upload their resume and complete any other required details. After this, they should proceed to click "apply" again to complete their application.
